STORE BACKGROUND
HyperCITY Retail (India) Pvt. Ltd. is part of the K. Raheja Corporation group, a leader in the Indian retail sector. The mall is situated over 1,20,000 sq feet area and stocks an astonishing array of products ranging from groceries, food, house items, fresh food, garments to consumer durables and offers consumers more variety and value for money, all under one roof.

STORE SET-UP
The store is divided into two sections i.e. it has 2 floors. The 1st floor has all the grocery and household items that includes vegetables, diary, poultry etc. the 2nd floor consists of home appliances, furniture, garments, sports material etc. It also has a pharmacy and a Vodafone gallery.

STORE TIMINGS

Store timings are from 10.00am to 10.00pm working from Monday to Sunday.

No.staff is approximately 1800 and the no. of shifts are 3.

Andrew Levermore, Chief Executive Officer Andrew joined the business in 2004 and has been at the helm of affairs from the conception stage.

Rajiv Nair Business Head - General Merchandise, HyperCITY Retail Limited & HyperCITY Argos.

Vinay Arora, Business Head - Fashion Vinay has over 14 years of experience in apparel business, having held key international marketing, merchandising & profit center positions with reputed apparel companies in the Indian subcontinent.

Siddarthan has worked with Shoppers' Stop for five and half years in Corporate Human Resources and later with Hypercity as head of Human Resource before moving on to this current role in operations. Siddarthan has had diverse experience across various industries, such as manufacturing, service and hospitality

They target middle and upper middle class by providing better quality products at a reasonable price, They attract the customers by providing discounts and offers, free home delivery of goods to their customers, credit card facilities to salaried customers etc. They provide efficient after sales service and they have an exchange policy,

Encouraging customer loyalty


Exchange policy They offer exchange within 14 days of your purchase, on producing the original receipt. The product should be unused, undamaged, in the original packaging and in saleable condition. Jewellery, cosmetics, mobile Phones, MP3 players, innerwear, swimwear and any altered merchandise are not exchanged. All appliances & electronics items will be exchanged subject to the warranty & guarantee terms of the manufacturer, with a valid receipt.

yMembership cards No membership cards are given to any customer but they give Gift vouchers. Hypercity Gift Vouchers are available for both Corporate and Personal gifting. Their Gift Vouchers are available in denominations or Rs.50/-, 100/-, 250/-, 500/-, 1000/-, or 2000/-.

Future prospects
Jumping on to the retail revolution bandwagon this time is Hypercity, the K. Raheja Group-promoted hypermarket chain that is all set to go on a major expansion spree with an investment of almost Rs 300 crore. More outlets "We are planning to open a total of 20 Hypercity outlets by early 2009," said Mr. Andrew Levermore, CEO, and Hypercity Retail (India) Pvt Ltd. On investments required to set up the 20 outlets, Mr. Levermore said that each outlet required around Rs 15 crore, over and above the real estate costs. At present, the retail chain has one 1.2 lakh sq. ft outlet in Mumbai, and its expansion plans also include opening outlets in cities such as Lucknow and Aurangabad, apart from tier-1 cities such as Delhi.
