Cerberus FM200
The better extinguishing performance due to high pressure technology
The faster extinguishing effect of Cerberus FM200 as compared with conventional low pressure FM200 systems is achieved solely by means of the high-pressure technology which the Siemens Cerberus Division developed for Halon 1301.

By high-pressure technology, we understand a minimum operating pressure at the nozzle of 10 bar as well as an FM200 storage pressure of 42 bar. Both high-pressure criteria together are vital for the rapid and reliable extinguishing of a fire with FM200 : Rapid release of FM200 in the extinguishing sector. Total vaporization aIready during flooding. Perfect homogenization before flooding is completed. Only when all three of these criteria are completely fulfilled is the FM200 gas available immediately after flooding in each part of the extinguishing sector in the required extinguishing concentration to extinguish a fire reliably in the shortest possible time. The results of numerous extinguishing tests in our laboratories have shown that as a rule, a fire can be extinguished in less than 30 seconds after the system has been actuated. Operating pressure at the nozzle (bar) Distance travelled by droplet (m)* <1.5 >4-5 >5.5

Storage pressure Temperature range Maximum nozzle room height coverage Filling factor Discharge time Extinguishing time
Because of the rapid vaporization, the high pressure system able to achieve shorter extinguishing time compare to low pressure system, therefore the hydrogen fluoride (HF) normally generated by halocarbon agents in the presence of a fire is negligible for high pressure system.

Electromagnetic Actuator
It allows to trigger one or all cylinder following an electrical command issued by an extinguishing panel. Code: 070789 Material: Brass Working Voltage: 24 volts Power Consumption: 3.5 Watts Rating: Eexd IIC TC Weight: 1.5kg
Pyrotechnic Actuator
Comprise of two ignitors. When activated causes expansion of gas due to combustion of chemical, which actuates the piston Pin. It is very reliable and no maintenance is required. Code: 070737 Material: Brass Electrical Resistance: 2 Weight: 0.09kg
Manual Actuator
After removing the safety pin, pulling the lever will push the piston pin to open the valve. Code: 070005 Material: Brass Weight: 0.16kg

Similar to manual actuator but having the alternative to connect pyrotechnic actuator or to a pneumatic line. Code: 070793 Material: Brass Weight: 0.5kg
Pneumatic Adapter
It operates the valve by means of the pressure which supply through the tripping port. Code: 070006 Material: Brass Tripping Pressure: 6 bar Tripping Port: 1/8" NPT Weight: 0.09kg

It consists of a punch valve plug and may be fitted with electromagnetic, pyrotechnic, and Manual Actuator. Code: 070322 Material: Brass Connection Thread: 1/4" NPT to Valve body Tripping outlet Port: 1/8" NPT Weight: 0.13kg
Nozzles
The Nozzles have an intergrated hex nut and internal pipe thread. Code: 0707XX Material: Brass Size: 3/8" to 1-1/4" Coverage: 180 and 360 Weight: 0.4kg to 1.0kg
Selector Valve
During design for several extinguishing zone that require protection by one bank of cylinders, a selector valve can be installed to activate to one of dedicated fire zone. The valves will activate the pilot cylinder or master cylinder. By using the selector valve will reduce the number of cylinders. Code: 07009X Material: Brass and Steel Size: 3/4" to 4" Operation: Pneumatic and Manual

We are also able to provide Room Integrity Test services to determine the leak tighness of a protected area without discharge of gas. The test is performed using portable devices comprising of pressure gauges, variable speed fans and a dedicated computer programme written to confirm to NFPA 2001 and 12A appendix B procedure.
