Base Channel' Amplitude: GSPC Report No. 8744/iid

The document discusses seismic amplitude data from an area with potential hydrocarbon deposits. It analyzes various features seen in the seismic data and provides simplified interpretations: 1. Section A shows curvilinear high amplitude features that are interpreted as minor delta or mouthbar sand bodies, not fluvial scroll bars due to being too large in curvature. 2. Section B replaces large channel and lobe features with abundant smaller curvilinear patterns, interpreted as a fluvial channel belt. 3. Section C shows a high sinuosity, low amplitude feature interpreted as a high sinuosity fluvial system, crossing the apparent high amplitudes.

High sinuosity, low amplitude feature crosses the belt of apparent high amplitudes. This green feature is ~150m wide and has a wavelength of ~1km.

Apparent edge to high amplitudes may be an artefact associated with the fault.

Amplitude extraction associated with Dholka Pay unit in the area of the Intra Cambay Shale prospect. A marked channel feature is visible on seismic sections and corresponds to the NNE-SSW high amplitude feature visible in A, above. To the north, the feature broadens into a wide zone of higher amplitudes. Although a simple fluvial interpretation is possible, the channel is considered too deep (~120m/s = 130m) to represent a single channel. The curved features in A could be interpreted as scroll bars associated with lateral channel migration, but again are considered too large, particularly as the apparent sinuosity of several kilometres is unreasonably large.
