This warranty is valid only after the warranty registration card is properly completed and
returned to our corporate headquarters within ten days after purchase/installation date.
This limited warranty is extended to the original consumer purchaser of the Briot product.
Briot warrants all parts and components thereof, to be free of defects in material and
warkmanship. The warranty does not cover chucks, plastic shields, plastic covers, fuses,
disk drives, light bulbs, bearing parts, and diamond wheels which have been worn out
by normal use. These are normal replacement items.
The warranty commences on the date of installation, provided the warranty registration
card is submitted and shall remain in effect for a period of twelve months. Briot will not
pay for loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of your Briot product, or properly damage
caused by your Briot product or its failure to work, or any other incidental or
consequential damage.
The limited warranty does not apply if the failure is caused or contributed by any of the
following: improper handling, improper use, improper transportation, improper
reinstallation, abuse, unsuitable application of the unit, lack of reasonable and necessary
maintenance, or repairs made or attempted by other than Briot or one of its authorized
sales and service distributors. This warranty does not cover defects resulting from
accidents, damage while in - transit to your place of business, fire, flood and acts of God.
Briot will repair or replace, at its option, a unit or part proved to defective whitin the
warranty period and under the conditions of the warranty.
Whereas consumer purchaser receives credit to any portion of the sale price with respect
to defective or non conforming parts, the defective or non-conforming parts must be
returned to Briot in order to obtain such a credit within 15 days.
The limited warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including the
implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for particular pupose, and all such
other warranties are disclaimed except to the extent of any implied warranty that may be
imposed by State Consumer Law. Any implied warranty that may be imposed by Consumer
Law is Limited in duration to one (1) year from date of installation.
Briot machinery and instruments are carefully tested and inspected prior to shipment.
Every possible care has been taken to deliver them to you safely.

Re-touch
Select the Re-touch function.
In Edging mode, place the lens
in the edger again.
Be sure the parameters entered are
for one of the lenses to be re-touched.
Press the key.
Using the keypad or and/or keys,
display the value to cerrect the size.
Safety mode
To clamp the lens you have to hold the key until the clamping shaft gets
in contact with the lens.
Releasing this key when clamping will automatically open the clamp.
You have two seconds to release the key when the clamp is in contact with
the lens otherwise the clamp opens back if this delay is over.
Starting the cycle with the clamp open will generate the warning message
Clamp the lens before start.
Wheel rotation
The main motor starts only if the visor is closed.
The door opening key is inactive during the wheels rotation.
Opening manually the visor stops the wheel motor and switches the machine
in error visor function.

Safety Precautions
Use the 3M Leap II Briot blocking edging tapes
Lubricate and clean the lens clamping adapters,
ON A REGULAR BASIS
Check the blocks to be sure they are clean and the tape side of the
block is smooth
ONLY use small lens clamping adpter to mount a 1/2 eye lens
BEFORE SCANNING A FRAME SHAPE, CLEAN THE FRAME
WITH AN ULTRASONIC DEVICE IN ORDER TO TAKE ALL THE
DEBRIS OFF THE SCANFORM.
If necessary, operate a manual scanning ( ) for a very curved
frame, a distorted or used frame or a very bad quality frame

Daily Maintenance
To ensure the highest performance of your Accura, clean the filtering
tank and dress the wheels on a regular basis.
Wheel Cycle Counts & Re-setting
Analyze the edging of your machine per type of edged lenses to check
the need to dress the wheels
In Scanning mode, press

Cleaning & Emptying the Filtering Tank
Turn off the edger.
Empty the filter bag.
Connect the hose to the main drain
(bucket, sink, sewer).
Press the unmarked key until you
enter OFF.
Turn ON the pump.
When the tank is empty, press
the unmarked key to display ON.
Turn OFF the pump.
We recommend cleaning and emptying the recirculating tank every
800 lenses minimum.
Press the key while you
switch on the edger.
Press the key to re-boot the machine.

Entering the Configuration Mode
Turn on the Accura.
This operation is recommended to change the screen contrast, the
user's language & other setting.

Manual Wheel Dressing
Make sure you have an ample flow of water over the diamond wheels.
Apply the dressing stick on to the diamond wheel by exerting a radial
pressure to use (according to the wheel type) of the following value.
As you apply the dressing stick on the diamond wheel, cover the full width
of the groove.
Do not sweep the dressing stick left to right.
Adjust the sizes (See paragraph General Sizes Adjustment p 54).
Never apply a dressing stick to the plastic (organic) roughing wheel,
serious damage will occur.
Arm with a dressing stick adapted to the wheel to dress.

when you re-touch number increases.

Lens Feeler Adjustment
It is recommended to re-calibrate the lens feelers when:
Press the Yes key.
Put adjustment tool # 14 04 199 on the lens
adpter shaft (left side).
Press the Confirm key.
Press the key pointing at the highlighted
diskette.
When the adjustment is complete,
remove the tool.
the bevel position is not where it was selected
the feeler tips have been replaced
the warning "Lens too small" appears erroneously.
Press and hold the key.
In Scanning mode, press

Press the No key until Landing position & wheels
radius adjustment is displayed.
Press the Yes key.
This process is recommended to offset wheel use.
Press the Next key.
Put adjustment tool # 14 04 199 on the lens
adapter shaft (left side).
Press the Confirm key.
Make sure the tool is well placed
at the bottom of the bevel.
While turning on the edger, press and hold the
key until the initialisation screen is displayed.
Press the Confirm key.
Adjust the next landing position
After adjusting all landing positions,
press the Next key.
Save the adjustment.
