RATIONALE
With the challenge to meet major development requirements, there is a
need to strengthen the financial capacities of barangays.

With this concern placed at the fore, the Liga ng mga Barangay – Bohol
Chapter (Liga) decided to adopt the Bayanihan Savings Replication Project (BSRP)
espoused by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). The
Liga believes that the BSRP, being a community-based or organization-based
savings, microfinance and enterprise development program, will help the
barangays in creating an environment conducive to growth and investment. By
adopting the Filipino Value of working and helping each other towards a common
goal, barangays can utilize to the fullest their minimum resources.

To ensure a successful adoption of the project, the Liga deems it necessary


to conduct on-site observation visits to places with successful implementation of
the bayanihan savings project. Thus, this activity.

OBJECTIVES

The general objective of this activity is to observe, interact and learn from
successful project implementers for possible replication by the Liga in the
province of Bohol.

Specifically, the visit aims to facilitate information exchange, experience


sharing and financial cooperation among Liga members towards the adoption of a
micro-finance program.

SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES

The Liga is requested to provide the schedule.
