The objective of this design is to focus of the intensive study of essential components of architecture, the
aperture, which has broad implications for our understanding of spaces as well as our physical vocabulary of
climatic considerations in built environment. An aperture is commonly understood as a window or door, an
element offering a controlled connection between interior and exterior in buildings. Simultaneously and more
conceptually, an aperture can be seen as a frame, threshold, portal, passage, oculus, opening, conduit, cleft,
chasm, gap, valve or void.
