Welcome to Latin! Some people may claim that Latin is a dead lanuae.

actually 'uite ali#e in today(s "orld. ) stron %oundation in the study o% the
classics "ill help you in learnin ne" lanuaes$ understandin history and
literature$ and ettin ahead in %uture careers. *n addition to the a+o#e$ students
"ill also ain an appreciation %or the cultural impact and importance o% the
,omans and their lanuae.

class$ you should ha#e a pass unless it is an unusual circumstance. 4onsistent
tardiness "ill result in disciplinary action.

Formati#e assessment is non9raded. :he purpose o% %ormati#e
assessment is to help me help you. Formati#e assessment can
ta&e many %orms- %ollo"9up 'uestions$ tic&ets out the door$
"or&sheet ans"ers$ and more. :his lets me see any possi+le
areas o% impro#ement so that you can +e success%ul.

)s a department$ our oal this year is to collect data on student
