rising sun he is running on a track no music only
reverberating panting sound along with the sounds of his rapid
foot steps we stylishly reveal his sweaty well sculpted
athletic body biceps, triceps, forearms, legs the athlete is
approaching towards the finish line Sunlight falls on the
athlete and we reveal his face for the first time He is Jai
We can see a strange determination on his face to cross that
finish line and win the race He is couple of steps away from
his destination It seems as if he will win the race but at the
last moment he trips. He looks at his shoes and realizes that his
shoelaces are not tied. A pair of legs enters the frame (a la
Gabbar Singh) Jai looks up An intimidating man [Tochan] in
his early 50s is established
The man [Tochan] smirks
TOCHAN

The frame freezes - A text LOSER superimposes (read slaps on
Jais face) on the screen The super disappears as Tochan now

continuously barking at the street dogs.

Sheena continues feeding the street dogs.

unaware of this. A speeding car comes from the other end of the
road. Tension builds up. Karan (the driver of the car) notices
the dog and promptly applies the brake but too late. Jaanu is hit
by the car and bounces up in the air. Sheena notices that
screams

The car screeches to halt. Simultaneously Jai who is desperately
running to save his job notices Karan hitting the dog.

While looking at him he trips and thud falls on the ground. And
as he falls and gets up Jaanu comes and falls in his arms Sheena
on the other side runs towards the car screaming

Karan who is about to get out of the car to help the dog realizes
that he hit Sheenas dog.

the ceiling and is hanging like a swing.
Both struggle to reach the bed (like govindas struggle to reach
the matki during janamastami) Finally they both are about to kiss
for the first time when one of the rope breaks. They panic.

lied regarding the broken mobile phone and above all Tochan = Her
father. Paakhi is shocked.

Karans feet. Camera tilts up and we see Karan is pushing trolly
with a huge birthday cake. Its midnight. Karan sings the
birthday song. She glances at her mobile phone as if she is
waiting for Jais call

The song depicts the state of mind our three main characters.
PAAKHI- Though Paakhi is celebrating her birthday but is
happy. She is waiting for Jais call. Somewhere deep within
wants Jai to call her and wish her on her birthday. To add to
irony, she is in the same Hotel Romantica where she had met
for the first time.

KARAN- He is trying his best to bring a smile on Paakhis face

and for that he leaves no stone unturned. He has booked entire
Hotel Romantica which is romantically decorated. He is trying to
make her birthday very romantic and memorable.
JAI- Heartbroken. He is on a different trip after losing his
wife. He is walking directionless on the road mourning his loss.
Paakhi is constantly checking if her mobile phone is working.
Karan invites her for a dance. While dancing with Karan, Paakhi
starts hallucinating Karan as JAI. Thats when we can see Passion
in their dance.
Jai, who is moving randomly on the road, lands up near hotel
romantica.
Through the glass window he spots his wife dancing with Karan. He
is happy to see Paakhi after such a long time.. On top of that he
is happy to find her happy on her birthday. Suddenly he realizes
that if Paakhi is happily dancing here then who was there in
tochans house who threw the cake and sent him the divorce paper.
He realizes that tochan befooled him..
Paakhi, who is hallucinating Karan as her hubby, is about to kiss
Karan when her trance breaks.. she stops.. looks at Karan with
embarrassment.. She turns around to leave when she see Jai on the
other side of the glass window.
Both are happy to see each other. Jai waves at Paakhi and signals
that he is coming inside from the door. Jai runs towards the
entrance.

Karan receives a call from Tochan. Karan is shocked and seething
with anger. He gives the phone Paakhi.. Paakhis smile vanishes
and is shocked too.
Jai comes inside hotel romantica and is vis--vis Paakhi.

life. He again turns back to original position. Simultaneously
Paakhi turns around, this time we can see tears in her eyes and
sees Jai for the last time Again she turns to the original
position and simultaneously Jai turns. This time he has tears in
his eyes. Paakhis coldness has hurt him more than Karans punch
or Tochans wrongdoing.
Scene 91 Int/ Paakhis house / Night
[Paakhi, Tochan, Karan]
Paakhi signs on the divorce papers with heavy heart. Tears drops
on the paper and smudges the ink/ text.
Scene 92 Ext/ Paakhi house ----- Court / Day
[Jai, Paakhi, Karan, Neha, Romi, Sush, Tochan, Ambience]

Donon taraf ki argument sunne ke baad yeh adalat aap donon ki

The verdict reverberates while camera tilts down and captures Jai
and Paakhi standing vis--vis outside the court. Both turn around
and (in slow mo) walk in opposite directions. Paakhi goes back to
Tochan, Karan and Sush while Jai goes back Neha, Romi.
They start walking in opposite directions and the sad song fades
in.
Scene 93 PBS-6
Sad song for the broken hearts and a journey onwards of two
departed souls.
(The following moments are just for the feel. More precise
moments can be deviced once the song is conceived.)
Tom is chasing Jerry in cartoon network. Karan is having a hearty
laugh. We track to Paakhi immersed in her own thoughts and
shedding tears. Karan witnesses this and feels sorry her
Jai is also watching the same cartoon channel but he too is
crying. Neha notices that.
Karan brings two tickets of a movie show. Paakhi gestures a no
and leaves the room. Tochan is sad for his daughter. Karan
assures him that everything will be alright and gestures that
Karan and tochan can use that movie ticket.
Neha shows the classifieds to Jai and Romi and points at
INTERVIEW...
Jai studies for the interview, appears for the interview and gets

Karan takes Paakhi to an organization of Animal Welfare. Paakhi

is delighted to be there.
Paakhi is feeding the dogs. And finds Jai too feeding them. Their
eyes meet for a moment and they both walk in different directions
Jai is running with other athletes and finishes 7th
Paakhi is teaching slum kids and having a good time. Karan brings
more kids in the room.. Karan looks at Paakhi and laughs. All the
kids starts lauging too. Karan Paakhi sees her face on the mirror
and its white due to the chalk marks. She starts laughing too
Jai is running in the actual race and wins it.
Paakhi is sick. She is on the bed. Karan checks the temperature
and feeds her medicine.
Night. 2am. Karan is sleeping on a chair next to paakhis bed. he
wakes up.. checks the time.. wakes up paakhi and gives her
medicine. Checks the temperature and is happy to find it normal.
Paakhi is touched by Karans gestures and care.
At work, its 2am in the morning. Romi is sleeping on his desk.
Jai is working sincerely till late night. Boss comes and gives
him a letter and gestures that soon Jai will be flying.
Excited jai shows that letter to Neha and dances with
excitement.. Though Neha is sad but she shows her excitement
about Jai flying abroad.

distance. Jai looks at that letter and decides not to fly
He throws the letter in a dustbin. As he turns to leave,
a window he sees Karan and Paakhi exchanging rings. He is

looking very very sad... Karan is already sitting in the mandap..
we can see a grin on tochans face...but when he sees Paakhi sad,
his expression changes
Intercut with Jai is running.. Lots of build up..Also, Romi tries
to catch up with Jais pace but fails. Finally Romi stops and
looks at the bridegroom. Romi smiles meaningfully.
