Aural Training Lesson
12th grade AP Music Theory students will identify aurally pitch and
rhythm errors in music from given aural examples, getting at least 3 out
of 4 errors in music per example.
12th grade AP Music theory students will be able to notate melodies from
dictations, with at least jotting the soprano and bass lines per recording.
12th grade AP Music Theory students will discern the different types of
nonharmonic tones, labeling at least 60% of the nonharmonic tones in a
given aural excerpt.
graded and will follow the AP grading format and based on scores the
instructor (myself) will be able to better understand what concepts in the
lesson to breakdown further or what to have more examples of and just
research other ways to help the students understand the concepts to be
the most successful they can be.
Each time you use a lesson with your students, it's an excellent idea to write
yourself notes, so that you can revise the lesson if needed. For this assignment
because you haven't actually taught the lesson, you do not need to add anything
about revision.
