Content Outline
The film trailer is going to be about a serial killer that is on the loose and
is rampaging around killing people in the night. The trailer will show a
montage of the serial killers latest kills in parallel to each other. A dark
and mysterious atmosphere will be used and the shots will be a
combination of close up, medium and point of view shots that will be
shown in both a fast and slow paced tempo. Vibe should publish this
production as this kind of story and production has not properly been done
before and is quite original, which in turn creates an attraction making it
likely to sell well.
Target Audience
My target audience would be interested in my production as the content
and atmosphere including the suspense and tension has a very large
appeal among the young people. The genre that my production falls into is
also of one that is popular with that audience as opposed to any of the
other audiences, which is one of the main reasons that I chose this age
group as my target audience. Another reason that I chose this audience is
that upon research of other productions that are similar to mine and in the
same category, have also chosen and aimed their production at this target
audience, which gave more incentive to do the same. One of the things
that I have done in my production to suit my target audience is that I have
used characters of a similar age and without much makeup which is also a
convention in my genre. This means that the characters look more
realistic so that my audience are able to connect and relate to them much
more easily.
Market Competitors
My closest competitors that I will be competing against are It Follows and
Sinister. The way that It Follows is similar to my production is that
they both use the sense of a character being followed and tracked.
The way that my production is able to top the other one, is that my
one makes it more of a chase adding in some drama and providing
the audience with an adrenaline rush, keeping them on the edge of
their seat. It has a budget of $2,000,000 and it grossed $10,100,000
worldwide.
The other competitor that I have is Sinister. The way that it is similar to
my production is that they both use a serial killer character in the
productions. The way that my one is able to top the other is that
Sinister only shows and talks about the murders that they
committed and how it was done, while my production focuses on the
serial killer them self and the character that they are portraying as
well as they murders that they are committing. It has a budget of
$3,000,000 and it grossed $87,727,807 worldwide.

Personal Requirements
The Cast and crew will have to make their own way to multiple locations
including Henley and Reading which they might have to pay for if
they get the bus or train there. There will be no food or
accommodation available to them as they will not be staying
overnight, and if they get hungry they will have to go out and buy
something either before or after shooting. The props will be bought
by me, and will cost around 10-25 altogether approximately.
