I happily write this letter of recommendation for Angela Yi. I first met Angela in my Geometry class a
few years ago, where she earned an A from me both semesters. She was a hardworking and dedicated
student who diligently completed daily homework assignments. She pays strong attention to detail,
shows a great willingness to help others in a team setting, and takes active leadership roles with extracurricular activities. Another positive attribute of Angela is her willingness to ask questions and seek
resolution on difficult mathematical concepts. This year I had the opportunity to work with Angela
again as my class mentor for the in-school tutorial. Her responsibilities were primarily helping students
with difficult concepts.
In addition to her participation in my class, Angela has been very active both on and off campus. She is
very involved in her community and has earned over 250 hours of community service. Angela has not
let her involvement in extracurricular activities affect her studies. She has always carried a heavy
workload and is currently taking three AP classes. Her hard work ethic and dedication to her studies
have earned her a 3.92 GPA.
