    Classroom Procedures

    Procedure 1:
    Beginning of the day:
    Students will enter the classroom and pick up a warm-up assignment. The assignment will be a short
    brain teaser or challenge to get them awake and busy while other students arrive. The activity will
    either be an individual assignment or a group activity, depending on the days planned agenda.

    Classroom Procedure 2
    Directions to students:
    At the start of each lesson, step-by-step written instructions will be on the board. We will read the
    instructions out loud and I will work through the first problem with the student/groups. The students
    will then do a problem on their own and I will check for understanding and answer any questions. As
    the students work I will walk around the room and monitor progress and check for problems.

    Classroom Procedure 3
    Passing out Papers:
    There will be a helper chart on the bulletin board. Each day two students will be the classroom helpers.
    Paper will be in a packet each morning on a table beside the door. Student helpers will place each
    students packet on their desk. The packet will contain each students worksheets for that day. The
    worksheets will be in the to do side of the packet and upon completion will be passed forward and
    picked up by student helpers.
