Clinton enjoyed his first experience working in the mental health sector and thrived
in a high-stress environment. The service, also a level four, specialized in the
rehabilitation of high-needs clientele diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.

Clinton was elected Student Representative for the 2014 year. He has enjoyed the
opportunities and challenges this leadership role has presented. Clinton has been a
strong advocate for his peers and has introduced several programs and systems to
enhance the learning environment, e.g., a waiata roster, a feedback system, an
online communal assessment calendar, etc.

Clinton took a concept for an interactive English learning website for adults through
the stages of: forming and registering a company, concept development, branding,
patenting and copyrighting intellectual properties, R&D, testing, production and
delivery to market, marketing, etc. Clinton was able to cold call and successfully
negotiate a partnership with Resn; a well-established web design firm based in
Wellington, New Zealand. The website that resulted: goodeikaiwa.com, was a finalist
in the 2011 AIMIA (Australian Interactive Media Industry Association) awards in the
category of Best Learning & Education.

Clinton founded/owned an English Language school with two branches, employing
six teachers and staff and with a student body exceeding 150 students. Clinton
developed curriculum and pursued improved English teaching methodology for
adults and children through the creation of instructional DVDs, books and scores of
original lesson plans.

Education
Clinton is currently on his final fieldwork placement with Secondary School of Tertiary
Studies (an MIT affiliate). Clinton successfully completed his 2nd year bachelor
studies with an A average. Bachelor studies will be completed in mid November,
2015.
Clinton is currently on his final fieldwork placement with Secondary School of Tertiary
Studies (an MIT affiliate). Clinton worked under the close supervision of an
experienced, registered social worker in the role of Social Worker in School (SWiS) at
Papatoetoe South School as part of his 2nd year fieldwork placement. Clinton worked
a 40 hour week for a three month period. Clinton was recognized several times at
ATWC general staff meetings for his contribution to the goals of the organization.
Clinton successfully completed his 2nd year bachelor studies with an A average.
Bachelor studies will be completed in mid November, 2015.
Clinton recently completed some private training in the areas of grief and loss under
the tutelage of Peter Thorburn.
