    We had a great time at our Christmas Dance in November and are looking forward to more Christmas activities this month. This month we will focus on the letters D, G, and O in class as well as the sight words "so" and "my." We will continue learning about graphing and focus on handwriting skills like using finger spaces. Renee Lalonde will return from maternity leave and transition back into teaching the class starting December 13th.

    December

    We hope all who came to our Christmas


    Dance on November 26th had a great
    time! We are looking
    forward to many more fun Christmas
    activities this month.

    What is Roots of Empathy?


    Roots of Empathy is a program that Early Childhood Educators implement in
    Kindergarten classes to help teach emotional literacy and empathy. Roots of
    Empathy's mission is to build caring, peaceful, and civil societies through the
    development of empathy in children and adults (rootsofempathy.org). We are
    lucky to have Miss Mallory and her almost 4 month old son, Sam, visit our
    classroom once a month to learn about the changes that Baby Sam is making
    each month and how we should be interacting with him. We have had one

    Mediation time from 1 minute
    to 2 minutes.

    Advent and we will be focusing
    on this
    a lot in the next few weeks
    through lessons and Advent
    paraliturgies.
