General Trustees Vacancy

CHANGE is a leading national human rights organisation led by Disabled People.


We have been running for 22 years working both nationally and internationally for the
equal rights of people with learning disabilities. CHANGE employs people with
learning disabilities to co lead on all of our projects on equal salaries to their non
learning disabled peers.
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled, committed and inspirational people to join our Board of
Trustees and play a key role in supporting the organisation to grow and meet our
strategic vision. You will need to have a good understanding and a passion for the
rights of disabled people, including people with learning disabilities.
We would particularly welcome applications from people with strong leadership skills
and experience who would be interested in becoming Chair of the organisation in
due course with appropriate support from the current Trustees.
Our Board meets four times per year in Leeds. There is also the expectation that
Trustees will be involved in sub committees comprising of Trustees, Staff and
Volunteers with learning disabilities to shape and contribute to different areas of the
business.
We welcome applications from people of all ages and backgrounds, and disabled
people, including people with learning disabilities.
