Hydrocyclones: Desand Degrit Dewater

The molded urethane gMAX hydrocyclone is an improved hydrocyclone design that can achieve finer and sharper particle separations using larger, high-capacity cyclones. The gMAX design features a new apex and cone design that enhances performance while minimizing turbulence and wear. Some benefits of the gMAX include 25-40% finer separations than standard cyclones, fewer cyclones needed, sizes from 1-10 inches, and the ability to separate particles as small as 10 microns.

The molded urethane gMAX hydrocyclone is an entirely new breed of

Hydrocyclone - re-engineered from apex to vortex finder. The molded
urethane gMAX hydrocyclone has the capability to produce finer and sharper
particle separations, using larger, high-capacity cyclones.
The gMAX hydrocyclone performance level was formerly only achievable
using using many small diameter hydrocycclones, at a much higher capital
cost.
The gMAX hydrocyclone design includes new modern apex and cone designs
that feature performance enhancing benefits. The cyclone inlet and
cylindrical sections have been modified to minimize turbulence and wear,
but still have the capability to operate at much higher capacities than other
hydrocyclones of the same diameter.
Some of the features and benefits of the gMAX hydrocyclone design
include the following:

- 25 - 40% finer, sharper separation than standard cyclones.

- Fewer cyclones needed for optimal performance.
- Available in sizes ranging from 1 to 10 in diameter.
- The U2-gMAX hydrocyclone can achieve separation as fine
as 10 microns.
- Numerous cyclones can be manifolded together in a tight
space.
- Works with exsisting installations.
- The U10-gMAX utilizes a 2-component molded urethane
that provides maximum strength and wear characteristics.
