The Department of Computer Science and
Engineering, with its dedicated well qualified

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

NetSim is widely used for modeling, simulation and
research in various networking technologies and
protocols including Ethernet, Wireless LAN (WiFi), Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANET), Wireless
Sensor Networks, Cognitive Radio Networks, WiMAX Networks, LTE Networks etc. Performance
metrics are provided at multiple abstraction levels
including Network, Sub Network and Link by Link
metrics. It provides some of the functionality such as
packet capturing and analyzing, packet animation,
detailed packet and event trace and custom code
development and debugging.

project work and research while the academic
version is used for lab experimentation and
teaching. NetSim Standard version is available as
eight components which users can choose and
