PNGRB opened technical bids for the third round of city gas distribution bidding for 7 geographical areas in India. A total of 51 bids were received from various companies for areas like Asansol-Durgapur, Bhavnagar District, Kutch East, Kutch West, Jamnagar District, Ludhiana and Jalandhar. The highest number of bids, 16, were received for Ludhiana, while the lowest, 2 bids each, were received for Bhavnagar District and Jamnagar District. The technical bids will be processed according to PNGRB regulations to award authorization for developing gas network infrastructure and the financial bids of qualified bidders will be opened at a later date.

PNGRB opens technical bids for third round of CGD bidding


PNGRB opened technical bids for 7 Geographical Areas (GAs) as part of
third round of CGD bidding today. The bids were invited for 8 Geographical
Areas through a public notice in July 2010. Out of these, while bidding for Panipat
has been deferred, technical bids for the GAs of Asansol-Durgapur, Bhavnagar
District, Kutch (East), Kutch (West), Jamnagar District, Ludhiana and Jalandhar
were opened today.

Out of the total of 125 bid documents sold, a total of 51 bids were received.
