Before applying candidates are advised to ensure that they fulfill the stipulated eligibility criteria. 2. PAY SCALE FOR THE POST OF ENGINEER


The duration of the training shall be for a period of one year. During the training period, the Engineers in all streams will be paid monthly consolidated stipend of Rs 18,000/only. On successful completion of the training, the candidates will be appointed as Software or Electronic or Mechanical or Electrical or Civil Engineer in the scale of pay of Rs.19,300 - 34,800/- with an increment of 5% per year. Besides Basic Pay, the employee is entitled to allowance @ 42% of Basic Pay under Cafeteria Approach, Dearness Allowance, HRA/Company Accommodation, Contributory Provident Fund, Conveyance Maintenance, Substantial Performance Related Pay (PRP), Medical Facility for self and dependents, Gratuity, Self Contributory Post Retirement Benefit Scheme and Composite Social Security Scheme as per rules.

3. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
A. Nationality / Citizenship: A candidate must be either (i) a Citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st Jan. 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/interview but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India. C. Educational Qualification:

1. For IT/Software Engineer: - BE / B.Tech. in Computer Science / Information Technology OR MCA with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University or AICTE approved Institution. For SC / ST candidates, the minimum percentage of marks required is 50%. 2. For Electronic Engineer: - BE / B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication engineering with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University or AICTE approved Institution. For SC / ST candidates, the minimum percentage of marks required is 50%. 3. For Mechanical Engineer: - BE / B.Tech. in Mechanical engineering with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University or AICTE approved Institution. For SC / ST candidates, the minimum percentage of marks required is 50%. 4. For Electrical Engineer: - BE / B.Tech. in Electrical engineering with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University or AICTE approved Institution. For SC / ST candidates, the minimum percentage of marks required is 50%. 5. For Civil Engineer: - BE / B.Tech. in civil engineering with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University or AICTE approved Institution. For SC / ST candidates, the minimum percentage of marks required is 50%. Candidates appearing the final examination may also apply. Their cases will, however, be considered subject to their producing the pass certificate with requisite percentage of marks at the time of interview.

4. SELECTION PROCEDURE
Selection will be made on the basis of performance in Written Test and Interview. Details of Written test and Interview are as under: (a) Eligible candidates will be required to appear for Written test (Objective as well as Subjective Type) consisting of two papers namely (i) General Awareness (ii) Subject / Specialization concerned.(b) Other detailed information regarding the written examination will be given in the information booklet, which will be made available to the candidates along with the call letter. (c) The candidates who qualify in the written test shall be called for psychometric test and interview as per merit and criteria decided by the CTE. d) Screening and selection will be based on the details provided; hence it is necessary that only accurate, full and correct information is furnished by the applicants. Furnishing of wrong / false information will be a disqualification and CTE will not be responsible for any consequence of furnishing of such wrong/false information.

CTE, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Test Centres and/ or add some other Centres, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc. CTE also reserves the right to allot the Candidate to any of the Centre other than the one he/she has opted for.

6. HOW TO APPLY

Payment of application fee and/ or postal charges by Demand Draft /Cheques/Money Orders/ Postal Order etc will not be accepted. C. Candidate should preserve the original counterfoil of the fee payment receipt as they will have to submit the same along with the Call Letter at the time of the written test. Without original counterfoil of fee payment receipt and the call letter for written test, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the written test. D. After depositing the application fees, Candidates are required to apply On-Line through website www.cteindia.co.in only. No other means/ mode of application will be accepted. E. Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID. It should be kept active for the duration of this recruitment project. CTE may send call letters for written test, interview etc. through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, he/she should share/mention e-mail ID to / of any other person. F. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying on-line. G. Candidate should visit RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION and after reading all information carefully. Now click on APPLY ONLINE link to open ONLINE APPLICATION FORM. H. Candidates should carefully fill the details in the On-Line Application at the appropriate places and click on the SUBMIT button at the end of the On-Line Application form. Before pressing the SUBMIT button, candidates are advised to verify every particular given in the application. The name of the candidate or his /her father/husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/mark sheets. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.

I. Information filled in the online application will be final. No further changes will be allowed. J. Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply on-line much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date for depositing the fees to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability/failure to log on the website on account of heavy load on internet/website jam. K. The CTE does not assume any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of the aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of the CTE. L. Please note that the above procedure is the only valid procedure for applying. No other mode of application or incomplete steps would be accepted and such applications would be rejected.

7. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
a) Candidates have to submit the original counterfoil of the fee payment receipt and the written test call letter at the time of written test. b) A recent, recognizable passport size photograph should be firmly pasted at the place indicated in the call letter for the Written Examination and must sign across the photograph so that a part of the signature spreads over the call letter beyond the photograph. Ten copies of the same photograph should also be retained for use in future. Candidates are advised not to change their appearance till the recruitment process is complete. Failure to produce the same photograph at the time of the interview may lead to disqualification. c) Before applying for the post of Engineer, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other norms mentioned in this advertisement. Candidates are therefore to carefully read this advertisement and follow all the instructions given for submitting online application. The CTE would be free to reject any application, at any stage of the Recruitment Process, if the candidate is found ineligible for the post for which he/she has applied. Decision of the CTE in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be undertaken, qualifications and other eligibility norms, the documents to be produced for the purpose or the conduct of interview/selection etc. and any other matter relating to recruitment will be final and binding on the candidate. No correspondence or personal enquiries shall be entertained by the CTE in this behalf. d) Not more than one application should be submitted by any candidate. Multiple Applications/Registrations will be summarily rejected and the application fee forfeited.

e) Applications once registered online will not be allowed to be withdrawn and/or the application fee, postage charges once paid will not be refunded nor be held in reserve for any other examination. f) All candidates will have to produce, if called for interview, original as well as attested photocopies of the prescribed certificates in support of their Educational Qualification, Date of Birth, Caste/Community certificate, Certificate of Disability issued by the competent authority, as specified in Para 8 in the prescribed format, failing which their candidature will be liable to be cancelled g) The candidates will have to appear for the written tests and /or interview at their own expense. h) No candidate is permitted to use or have possession of Calculators, Mobile Phones, Pagers or any other instruments in the Examination Hall. i) Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification. j) In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated. k) Any request for change of address will not be entertained. l) The CTE takes no responsibility to correct any Certificate/Remittance sent separately. m) In case any dispute arises on account of interpretation of version other than English, English version will prevail. n) Candidates admission to the examination is strictly provisional. The mere fact that the call letter has been issued to the candidate does not imply that his candidature has been finally cleared by the CTE. o) Candidates should ensure that the signatures appended by them in all the places viz. in their call letter, attendance sheet etc. and in all correspondences with the CTE in future should be identical and there should be no variation of any kind.

8. THE COMPETENT AUTHORITY FOR THE ISSUE OF THE CERTIFICATE TO SC/ST/OBC/PC IS AS UNDER

Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate/Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar/SubDivisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/or his/her family normally resides. (b) For Physically Challenged: Authorized Certifying Authority will be a Medical Board duly constituted by the Central/State Govt. having at least 3 members consisting of Chief Medical Officer, Sub-Divisional Medical Officer in the District and an Orthopedic Surgeon, Ophthalmology Surgeon, ENT Surgeon as the case may be.

9. ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES FOUND GUILTY OF MISCONDUCT


Candidates are advised in their own interest that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered, fabricated and should not surpass any material information while submitting online application. At the time of written examination/ interview, if a candidate is (or has been ) found guilty of (i) using unfair means during the examination or subsequent selection procedure or (ii) impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or (iii) misbehaving in the examination hall or taking away the question booklet (or any part thereof ) / answer sheet from the examination hall or (iv) resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his/ her candidature for selection or (v) obtaining support for his/ her candidature by unfair means, such a candidate may, in addition to rendering himself/ herself liable to criminal prosecution, be liable : (a) To be disqualified from the examination for which he/ she is a candidate. (b) To be debarred either permanently or for a specified period from any examination or recruitment conducted by CTE.

10. CALL LETTERS FOR WRITTEN EXAMINATION


The date of Examination shall be intimated in the Call Letter along with the Centre/Venue address. All eligible candidates will be issued Call letters at the correspondence address, given by the candidates in their online application, which will be sent by ordinary post Candidate has to affix his/her photograph on the call letter. Candidate has to bring this call letter along with original counterfoil of bank receipt while attending the written test. Note: Candidates have to submit original counterfoil of bank receipt along with Test Call Letter while attending the written test, without which they will not be allowed to take up the examination.
