Either way, this is comfort food of a high order and so easy to make. The slightly tart apple sauce, a crunchy crumble and Hagen-Dazs Cookies & Cream will have couch potatoes running to he kitchen for more.

Apple Cookies & Cream Crumble

What you ll need


3 Bramley apples 1 teaspoon caster sugar 125 grams our 100 grams Demerara sugar 125 grams ground almonds 175 grams butter, cold and cut into small cubes 1 tub Hagen-Dazs Cookies & Cream

How to prepare
Peel and core the apples, chop coarsely and stew with the caster sugar and two or three tablespoons of water and then blend to a smooth puree. Leave to cool. Mix together the Demerara sugar, our and almonds before rubbing in the butter to make a sandy crumble mixture. Grease a 22 cm pie tin with butter and spread out the mixture. Bake in a medium hot oven, 180 C, for twenty ve minutes and until golden brown. To serve, turn the cool crumble mixture out of the tin. Break up the crumble and place a little in a bowl, add a scoop of Hagen-Dazs Cookies & Cream and coat with the apple sauce.
