    BARANGAY 7, CALAMBA CITY
    As one of the many barangay in the city of Calamba, Barangay 7 is a peaceful,
    clean and most of all socially responsible headed by our chairman and SK chairman.
    Our barangay is recognized as one of the socially responsible barangay in our city. The
    sangguniang barangay and sangguniang kabataan facilitates projects to address our
    community's social neds. AS we enter in a technological century, the society in our
    barangay itselt are more introvert in a way that most of us are at inside our houses or at
    computer shop using computers or watching television. To address these trends sport
    fests are being conducted regularly unlike before which was only held during summer
    vacation. This way the young society in our barangay and even on other barangay can
    develop sportsmanship, camaraderie and physical wellness. Also in connection with
    physical well, the elder society in our barangay were given the opportunities to take part
    in the morning aerobics exercise held on our barangay gym facilitated by an aerobics
    instructor. Since most of us are mostly pet lovers especially with dogs even with pure
    breeds or mixed breeds, the barangay officials in coordination with the city health office
    facilitates free rabies vaccination for our pet dogs for the benefit of the welfare in our
    community. Many other projects like waste segregation of bio-degradable and non-
    biodegradable and strict implementation of not using PLASTC even at sari-sari stores.
    As our barangay puts more extra effort to give back to the community in some way
    despite these efforts, the public generally feels that they can do more. Of course with
    the help of every one in our community.
