2. Plug the large end of the travel adapter into a power outlet. 3. When charging is finished, unplug the travel adapter.

Tap: Touch the screen once with the stylus to select the highlighted menu or option. Tap-and-hold: Tap and hold the stylus on an item to perform. Drag: Tap and hold the stylus on the screen and drag the stylus to move the scroll bar. A special slot for storing the stylus is included on the back of your phone.

Use widgets
Learn to use widgets on the idle screen.
Some of your widgets connect to WAP services. Selecting a WAP-based widget may incur additional charges. Available widgets may vary depending on your region or service provider.
To open a widget 1. In Idle mode, scroll left or right to a panel of the idle screen. 2. Select a widget to activate on the idle screen. To organise your widgets You can organise each panel of the idle screen with your favourite widgets. 1. In Menu mode, select Settings Display Widgets. 2. Select a widget for each screen and select Save.

To set menus on the shortcut widget 1. In Menu mode, select Settings Display Shortcuts. 2. Select a shortcut. 3. Select a menu to assign to the shortcut and select Save.
To adjust the volume of voice during a call While a call is in progress, press the Volume key up or down to adjust the volume. To use the speakerphone feature 1. During a call, select Loudspkr Yes to activate the speaker. 2. To switch back to the earpiece, select Loudspkr again.
In noisy environments, you may have difficulty hearing the calls while using the speakerphone feature. For better audio performance, use the normal phone mode.

To use the headset By plugging the supplied headset into the multifunction jack, you can make and answer calls: To redial the last call, press and hold the headset button. To answer a call, press the headset button. To end a call, press the headset button.
The supplied headset is designed only for your device and may not be compatible with other phones and MP3 players.
To view text or multimedia messages 1. In Menu mode, select Messages Inbox. 2. Select a text or multimedia message.

You can enter text by selecting characters on the virtual keypad or by handwriting on the screen.
Available text input modes may vary depending on your region.
To change the text input mode Select or to change the text input method (keypad or hand writing). Select PY to switch to Pinyin mode.(Available only for Simplified Chinese) Select TSTR to switch to Stroke mode. Select Eng to switch to ENG mode. Select modes. To view photos In Menu mode, select My files Images a photo file. To capture videos 1. In Menu mode, select Camera to turn on the camera. 2. Rotate the phone anti-clockwise to landscape view. 3. Select to switch to Recording mode. 4. Aim the lens at the subject and make any adjustments. 5. Select to start recording. 6. Select to stop recording. The video is saved automatically. After capturing videos, select To view videos In Menu mode, select My files Videos a video file. to view videos.

Listen to music
To listen to the FM radio 1. In Menu mode, select FM radio. 2. Select to start the FM radio. 3. Select Yes to start automatic tuning. The radio scans and saves available stations automatically.
The first time you turn on the FM radio, you will be prompted to start automatic tuning.
Listening to the FM radio without a headset may reduce battery charge more quickly. When the current radio signal is weak, plug in the supplied headset.

To dial a second call If your network supports this function, you can dial another number during a call: 1. Select Hold to place the first call on hold. 2. Enter the second number to dial and press [ ]. 3. Select Swap to switch between the two calls. To answer a second call If your network supports this function, you can answer a second incoming call: 1. Press [ ] to answer the second call. The first call is automatically placed on hold. 2. Select Swap to switch between the calls. To make a multiparty call (conference call) 1. Call the first party you want to add to the multiparty call. 2. While connected to the first party, call the second party. The first party is automatically placed on hold. 3. When connected to the second party, select More Conference call.

To call an international number 1. In Idle mode, select Keypad and tap and hold 0 to insert the + character. 2. Enter the complete number you want to dial (country code, area code, and phone number), and then press [ ] to dial. To call a contact from the phonebook 1. In Idle mode, select Contacts. 2. Select a contact you want. 3. Select next to the number you want to dial.
To reject a call To reject an incoming call, select Reject. The caller will hear a busy tone. To reject calls from certain numbers automatically, use the auto rejection feature. To activate the auto rejection feature and set up the reject list, 1. In Menu mode, select Settings Call All calls Auto reject. 2. Select Activation to turn on the auto rejection feature. 3. Select Reject list. 4. Select Create the number field.

In Menu mode, select Music Playlists Create. 2. Enter a title for your new playlist and select Done. 3. Select the new playlist. 4. Select Add tracks Tracks. 5. Select the files you want to include and select Add.

To customise your music player settings 1. In Menu mode, select Music Settings. 2. Adjust the settings to customise your music player. To record songs from the FM radio 1. In Menu mode, select FM radio. 2. Select to start the FM radio. 3. Select a radio station you want. 4. Select Record to start recording. 5. When you are finished recording, select Save. To set up your favourite station list 1. In Menu mode, select FM radio. 2. Select a radio station to add to the favourite station list. 3. Select More Add to Favourites.
You can access your favourite stations by selecting on the FM radio screen.

3. Enter a PIN for the Bluetooth wireless feature or the other devices Bluetooth PIN, if it has one, and select OK. Alternatively, select Yes to match the PIN between your device and the device. When the owner of the other device enters the same code or accepts the connection, pairing is complete.
You may not need to enter a PIN depending on the device.
To send data using the Bluetooth wireless feature 1. Select the file or item that you want to send from one of your phones applications. 2. Select Send via Bluetooth or select More Send namecard via or Send via Bluetooth (when sending contact data, specify which data to send). To receive data using the Bluetooth wireless feature 1. Enter the PIN for the Bluetooth wireless feature and select OK (if necessary). 2. Select Yes to confirm that you are willing to receive data from the device (if necessary). 41
To send an SOS message 1. With the touch screen and the keys locked, press the volume down key four times to send an SOS message to preset numbers. 2. To exit SOS mode, press and hold [ ]. 42

Troubleshooting
When you turn on your phone or while you are using the phone, it prompts you to enter one of the following codes:
Code Phone lock Try this to solve the problem: When the phone lock feature is enabled, you must enter the password you set for the phone. When using the phone for the first time or when the PIN requirement is enabled, you must enter the PIN supplied with the SIM card. You can disable this feature by using the PIN lock menu. Your SIM card is blocked, usually as a result of entering your PIN incorrectly several times. You must enter the PUK supplied by your service provider. When you access a menu requiring the PIN2, you must enter the PIN2 supplied with the SIM card. For details, contact your service provider.

The battery does not charge properly or the phone turns off
The battery terminals may be dirty. Wipe both goldcoloured contacts with a clean, soft cloth and try charging the battery again. If the battery will no longer charge completely, dispose of the old battery properly and replace it with a new battery (refer to your local ordinances for proper disposal instructions).
