The application makes extensive use of PHP Classes to create a bridge

Class to communicate with the Xinet DAM.

The application involved integration with other applications such as

Pentaho which supplies an embedded reporting solution and AdStream

Project Leader
I held several positions at Barnes&Noble.com, all of them involving
extensive coding and database development. My last two positions
involved developing new architecture and creating or streamlining an
existing UI.

As a project leader in the E-commerce architecture group. I worked on a

re-write of the order path functions using a COM based object model. I
promoted the use of XML/XSLT and developed a Model/View/Controller
architecture to replace a code base that was largely ASP and MS
Commerce Server 2000.

As a project leader in the Search team; I did maintenance code in C++,

consulted on the architecture of a site wide product search engine re-
write and developed a specialized data-mart to analyze the rise and fall
of media search terms over several dimensions including time site
location and demographic information available for authenticated
customers.

As a senior developer for order fulfillment; I did maintenance releases of

a PowerBuilder application for special order processing using an
Informix OL database. I re-engineered this application using an N-tier
architecture using MTS and MSMQ with the business rule layer
developed as a VB COM object.

I also developed an IVR application that linked our CS functions with an

enterprise level IVR Service supplied by MCI. The application used COM
objects developed in C++. These objects were called as stored
procedures through an ODBC interface. In this application I worked
extensively with MCI’s enterprise development team.
