16th Academic Conference of the International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS)
on
Global Justice
6 - 8 March 2013 LUISS Guido Carli University, Rome, Italy Global Justice has been a subject of numerous analyses for several decades now. From political theory to international relations, contributions have been come from very different areas of Political Science. It has been often linked with the issues of Human Rights, the development of Global Values and Democratization. On these panels we aim to explore those very links: What is Global Justice and what does it consist of? What are the contrasting ideas on the subject? Which are the links between Global Justice and Human Rights? What about the ones between Global Justice and Democratization? Must all these subjects go hand-in-hand? These are the questions we will try to address during our promising and inspiring debates and discussions at the 16h Academic Conference of the International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS) in Rome from March 6 th to 8th 2013. We welcome papers from Political Science (and related fields) students and young scholars. We aim to receive perspectives from both Western and non-Western points of view. The questions we will be addressing are: Does Justice means 'Power to the People'? Is Democracy the only Political Regime leading to Global Justice? Global Justice and Foreign Policy: Friends or Foes? Global Justice and Democratization: Country Case-Studies Global Justice and Global Values: Are Human Rights a Western Fiction? Human Rights: Lessons from the Past Global Justice and Human Rights: Country Case-Studies
