On 01/27/2013 I was on routine patrol in a fully marked SPD vehciele while wearing a regulation blue uniform when I was dispatced to a fire assist for a male that was bleeding at Martini Ranch. I arrived and directed SFD Ladder 602 to a male who was speaking to Officer Hash, the male appeared to be holding his lower face. I was then contacted by a who wanted to tell me that the bouncers had been heavy handed with the male. had a strong odour of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath as he spoke to me and slurred his words when he spoke. He was very jovial and I was not sure he was serious about what he was saying to me. He kept saying " is this really worth it, area you going to use this"? I stated that what he told me would go into a report, he agreed but did not give me any specifi information on who had done what and why it was so wrong. I then spoke to who told me that he was standing to one side inside of the club when the male came past him and sneezed all over him. asked the man if he was going to appologise or not, for sneezing on him. said this is when the male cold cocked him in the left side of his face using his right closed fist. stated that he turned and grabbed one of the security guys and they escourted the subject out. told me that the male subject was stilll fighting with them on the way and they had to defend them selves and stop him hitting them. This is how the subject I later Identified as Jason London came to be the patient in the medical assist call that was the initial call for service. has some slight red bruising and mild swelling to the right side of his face. Please see the other Officers suppliment for further detials.A I spoke to the second security guard and he relayed the same informatiou, that the suspect had just cold cocked in the head and they had escourted him out of the night club and the suject was fighting and arguing with them the whole way out. stated to me that he wanted to assist in prosecution and was willing to be a victim. On 01/27/13 at approximately 0142hrs I was dispatched to Martini Ranch which is located at 7295 E Stetson Dr in reference to a medical assist. The call for service stated that a male was outside of the establishment and was bleeding. I arrived in a semi-marked patrol car and was wearing my regulation blue SPD uniform. Upon arrival, I saw a large crowd of people standing near the front entrance to the club. I also saw that SFD was tending to a male just east of the entrance. I was directed by Officer Beatty #1339 to speak with the male that was being evaluated by SFD. Officer Haas was already standing with paramedics near the male. Once I got close to the male, I noticed that he was not bleeding, but he had a swollen right eye and contusions around his right eye area. The male would be identified as Jason London via CA DL with photo. As SFD was tending to him; he became belligerent and started cursing at the paramedics. He also told them that they were not doing their jobs correctly and refused to cooperate throughout his evaluation. At one point during his evaluation, London stood up and pushed through two of the firefighters/ paramedics. Officer Haas attempted to control London to prevent him from possibly assaulting any of the paramedics. During that time, London became aggressive and started to push Officer Haas away from him. Officer Haas was forced to deliver a knee strike to the outer part of London`s right thigh and seat him on the ground. I stood by at that point and waited for SFD to finish with London. London eventually refused any medical treatment and signed the refusal form provided by SFD. I then spoke with London and attempted to ask him what had taken place that evening, but he refused to cooperate with me. I asked him if he wanted to tell me what happened and he said, "Fuck you! You won`t do shit for me; you fucking hillbilly!" I explained to him that I was trying to get his side of the story and that I had no idea of what occurred. He continued his ranting about the medical treatment that I had given him and that I did not help him. I explained to him that I was not a medic and that I was a police officer. He said, "I know what you fucking are! Fuck you; I want to go home!" I did not ask any further questions of London. London showed obvious signs and symptoms of extreme alcohol impairment. His eyes were bloodshot and watery, his speech was slurred and mumbled, and his breath reeked of alcohol. London was also having a very hard time keeping his balance, even while in the seated position. I was then contacted by Officer Beatty and she stated that there was probable cause to place London under arrest for assault and disorderly conduct stemming from an altercation inside of the club. Officer Beatty had spoken with (V) and he stated that he had been sneezed on by London and believed it to be intentional and that is what started the incident. I briefly spoke with and he told me the following: stated that he was walking by London and had to physically move London in order to get through the crowd. He stated that London turned around and sneezed directly in his face. believed that this was "absolutely intentional". stated that he asked London to apologize twice. London then punched on the right side of his face with a closed right fist. had an abrasion under his right eye with slight swelling and also had redness around the left side of his jaw. I ceased my conversation with as London was now yelling profanities. I contacted Officer Beatty again and asked her if wished to aide in prosecution and she stated that he was willing to be a victim in this matter. At 0008hrs I placed London under arrest for assault and disorderly conduct. He was handcuffed (DLR) and searched incident to

arrest for any illegal contraband or weapons with negative results. He was then placed in the back of my patrol car and secured with lap and shoulder restraints and transported to the District 2 Jail for processing. During the short trip to District 2 Jail; London asked me if I had a good lawyer and if I was proud to be a cop. I did not reply to his questions. He then said, "Guess what, faggot? I fucking love this! I fucking own you guys so hard. I`m rich and I`m a motherfucking famous actor! Fucking look me up, bitch!" He then said, "It smells like shit in your car and your breath smells like diarrhea". I looked back at him just in time for him to lean to the left and defecate in his pants. Then he said, "I told you that I`m happy as shit!" Once at the Jail facility, London continued with his antics toward Jail staff and continued his ranting, raving, and cursing at them and me. At 0040hrs I read London Miranda warnings verbatim from the supplied Miranda card. London did not initially reply. He flipped me off with both hands and stuck his tongue out at me. I told him that I needed an actual answer to the question and he gave me thumbs up. I asked him one final time if he understood his rights and he said, "I`m a fucking movie star; I know what the fuck to do!" I then said, "Would you like to talk about what happened tonight?" and he flipped me off again and said, "Fuck you; I own you now! I`m a famous actor, I`m fucking rich, and I`ve got a good fucking lawyer! I fucking own your sorry ass! Fuck you!" I did not ask any further questions of London. CSS responded and took photographs of London`s injuries. London was not cooperative with CSS Cranswick and had to be told numerous times to do as he was told by Cranswick. London was charged and booked via citation# 1884348 for ARS 13-1203A1; Assault and ARS 13-2904A1; Disorderly Conduct On 01/28/13 at approximately 2130hrs I spoke with Sophia London in reference to her leaving a voicemail for me to call and explain to her what had taken place. I explained to Sophia that I was not inclined to give her all of the details as her husband is an adult and has a right to privacy. I did, however explain to her what the charges were and what the next process would be as far as court date and how to contact the Scottsdale Courts for any information she may need. During our conversation, Sophia made comments saying, "I know he`s an asshole when he drinks" and she also stated that London would never get into trouble like he did and that he would never assault anyone on purpose. Sophia went on to say that she spoke with London about the incident and she said that he had no recollection of the incident. She stated that at some point, London was unconscious and when he woke up, the police officers were surrounding him and he believed that the police "beat him up". I immediately informed Sophia that London was never unconscious while police were with him or SFD for that matter. I asked Sophia if she was with London at the time of the incident and she stated that she was not. She had already left the club to go back to the hotel before the incident took place. She stated that she knows London very well; as they are married and that "he would never do anything to hurt anyone". She had no further questions for me. Sophia thanked me for my service and for answering all of her questions and we ended our conversation. Please see other Officer supplements for further information.
