This is how you hit a hockey ball! Notice the position of the ball between the feet. The right elbow is tucked in The grip is correct-vs pointing at right chin if at address Left leg bent over left foot Hips turning Bent at waist Shoulders have not released too soon

But there is a problem


The player has pushed off of the right foot too quickly This will result in a reverse weight shift and the player will hit the ball off of their right foot and swing the stick to the left. The right knee needs to bend into the ball as well.

Stick below right shoulder on downswing

This forces hands to roll inside in the impact area.

Weight on right foot/side when shooting off of left foot

Cant fully release through the ball Player spins out fo the shot

Tee (position) the ball when you are about to shoot


Position the ball in the correct position relative to the foot you will shoot off of This only works if you have time and space This can be used in the mid eld and the back

Baseball grip
Results in a ying right elbow and the weight ont eh right side instead of the center of gravity during impact
