In order to help foreign students in their search for financing studies, the Office of Student Affairs has gathered some information on possible scholarships. These can be divided into different categories, depending on whether or not you have been definitely admitted to one of the ESSEC programs. Other criteria include nationality, proficiency in French, the purpose of your study project, your merit, revenues, etc., and above all they can be categorized by their amount. You will find below a list, although not exhaustive, of scholarships and fundings available per country or area. Since they exist in a limited number, while the number of applicants has been increasing every year, the Office of Student Affairs strongly recommends that you consider additional sources for financing your stay in France. 1. Before admission into one of the ESSEC programs Scholarships from the French cultural services Scholarships from the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie 2. After admission into one of the ESSEC programs Eiffel Scholarships Company Scholarships ESSEC Social Scholarships Mobility Scholarships European Community Schemes Scholarships and Funds in Europe Scholarships and Funds in Australia, Asia and Africa Scholarships and Funds in America Other scholarships and funds 1. Before admission into one of the ESSEC programs 1.1. Scholarships from the French cultural services You should inquire at the French cultural service in your country of origin about individual scholarships. Cultural services are indeed authorized to grant a certain number of scholarships each year. For additional information, see: http://www.cnous.fr/_vie_47.htm 1.2. Scholarships from the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie

If you are currently enrolled in an educational institution in your country of origin, check the web site of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (www.auf.org) to see if your institution of origin is a member of the program and may present your application for a scholarship. ESSEC is a member of that program, and therefore is eligible to receive candidates wishing to study in France, provided they have successfully completed the admission procedures.

2. After admission into one of the ESSEC programs 2.1. Eiffel scholarships

These are granted by the French government to the best candidates from emerging countries. Applications may be submitted by schools only. The Office of Student Affairs at ESSEC handles the whole application procedure and provides assistance for editing CVs and professional projects. For more information, see the EGIDE (French government association) web site at www.egide.asso.fr 2.2. Company scholarships Your program may benefit from companies willing to sponsor students working on field related projects (for ex. Firmenich for Luxury Brand MBA, Disneyland Paris for Hotel Management MBA, Lafarge for ESSEC MBA, etc.) 2.3. ESSEC social scholarships These scholarships are based on the applicants financial resources and merit. Information on application is provided at the beginning of each academic year and available to enrolled students on ESSEC extranet (MyEssec.com), using their ID and password. 2.4. Mobility scholarships ESSEC full-time students can apply for this financial aid when going abroad (i.e. outside France) for an internship or exchange program. This aid is granted by the Rgion Ilede-France, based on the applicants revenues. In addition, the applicant must be able to provide a French income tax statement.

For more information, see http://www.iledefrance.fr/english/ 2.5 European Community Schemes The European Community provides some scholarships to promote the exchange of students and academic staff within Europe, such as the SOCRATES and LEONARDO programmes. The European Commission also makes some awards to students from developing countries. For further information: contact the European Commission office in your own country, or write to: The European Commission Directorate General XXII Rue de la Loi 200 B-1049 Brussels Belgium.
