HANDSET

1. • To call and to answer a call.

Important!
If the handset is being placed on the base unit, this led ALWAYS should light. If it does not light, this means
that the handset was not placed correctly on the base unit or that the AC adaptor was not installed properly,
so that the handset can not be charged.

LANGUAGE
Press the key. Press the key until “SETTING “ appears on the display. Press the key. Press the key again
until “LANGUAGE “ appears on the display. Press the key. Use the key until the required language appears on the
display. Finally press the key once again to confirm the language. [You will hear a confirmation beep.]
RINGER MELODY
You can choose from 9 different ringer melodies and 9 polyphonic ring tones.
Press the key. Press the key until “RING SEL ” appears on the display. Press the key. “EXTERNAL ” appears on the
display. Press the key. “MELODIES ” appears on the display. Press the key once again and use the and key
to search the required melody. Press the key to confirm your favourite melody for all external calls. [You will hear a
confirmation beep.]
RINGER VOLUME
You can choose from 10 different ringer volume levels.
Press the key. Press the key until “RING SEL ” appears on the display. Press the key. “EXTERNAL” appears on the
display. Press the key and then the key. “VOLUME” appears on the display. Press the key and then use the
& key to search the required ringer volume. Finally press the key to confirm the right external ringer volume. [You will
hear a confirmation beep.]
Important!
If you choose for volume-level ‘0’, the ringer tone will be switched off completely.
DIALING WITH OR WITHOUT SOUND SIGNAL
Press the key. Press the key until “KEY SETUP” appears on the display. Press the key, the key and finally
the key again. Use the key to make your choice: “CLICK ON” or “CLICK OFF”. Finally press the key to confirm your
choice. [You will hear a confirmation beep.]
Remark:
You can unlock the keypad by keeping the key pressed during 2 seconds.
HANDSET NAME
Press the key. Press the key until “SETTING” appears on the display. Press the key and then the until
“HS NAME“ appears on the display. Press the key. Enter the required name. Press the key to confirm the handset
name. [You will hear a confirmation beep.]
PROGRAMMING A PIN-CODE
A number of functions, like f.i. “Blocking numbers” of the NOBLESSE VOIP only can be programmed with a PIN-Code.
PIN-Code with delivery = ‘0000’.
How to change this PIN-Code?
Press the key. Press the key until “SETTING” appears on the display. Press the key and then the key until
“PIN-CODE” appears on the display. Press the key once again. Enter your old PIN-Code (with delivery = ‘0000’) followed
by . Enter now your new PIN-Code (max. 8 numbers) followed by the key. Enter your new PIN-Code once again
followed by . [You will hear a confirmation beep.]
BLOCKING NUMBERS
You can block several numbers with the NOBLESSE VOIP. The number you blocked has a max. of 5 numbers.
Examples of possible blocked numbers are:
• ‘00’: international numbers can not be dialed if ‘00’ is programmed as a blocked number.
• ‘06’ or ‘0475’: mobile numbers that begin with f.i. ‘06’ of ‘0475’ can not be dialed if they are programmed as blocked numbers.
• ‘0900’: can also be programmed as a blocked number.

TONE/PULSE ( * )
Press the key. Press the key until “SETTING” appears on the display. Press the key. Press the key once
again until “DIAL MODE” appears on the display. Press the key. “TONE” appears on the display. Use the key to make
your choice: “TONE” or “PULSE”. Finally press to confirm your choice. You will hear a confirmation beep.
(*) This setting is NOT used in the majority of the European countries where only “TONE” dialling is available.
FLASH-KEY
The FLASH-key offers the possibility to use various services of your telephone company or can be used as through-connect
key when the NOBLESSE VOIP is connected to a PBX.

• This way you can not recover the forgotten PIN-Code.
• The memory of the Phonebook is not being erased.
• The handset will not be deregistered.

Important!
• The original PIN-Code will be recovered (=’0000’ with delivery).
• All default settings will be recovered.
• The memory of the Phonebook will be erased.
• The handset will be de-registered and therefore needs to be registered once again.
Remove the batteries from the handset. Keep the key pressed and put the batteries back in the handset until the handset
rings continuously and the display lights. Release the key and press the key. You will hear a beep tone.
Press the key shortly. “RESET” appears on the display. Press the key to confirm or remove the batteries to
cancel. “RESET OK” appears on the display. [You will hear a confirmation beep.] “NOT SUB” appears on the display. Now you
can register the handset once again.
‘MUTE’-KEY
During a call, press the key to switch the microphone off. x appears on the display. [The person on the other end of the line can
not hear you, but you can hear the person on the other end of the line.] Press the key to switch the microphone back on.
‘SPEAKERPHONE’-KEY
With this key you can switch on the Speakerphone of the handset to make a completely handsfree call.
Press . On the display appears )). Press again to switch off the microphone and to continue your conversation
without Speakerphone via the handset. Press to finally end the call.
Remark:
During a call you can adjust the volume of the speakerphone as indicated above in the chapter
“Adjusting the voice volume”.

CALL DURATION
The telephone automatically shows the duration of the calls.
This remains on the display during a few seconds after the call, before it turns back to Standby-mode.
Remark:
The call duration automatically starts counting after pressing the key, even when there is no connection.
HANDSET-SEARCH-BUTTON
Press the key of the base unit very shortly to page the handset that has gone missing. The handset beeps for a moment.
Press any key of the handset to stop the beeping.
USING PREFIX DIALING
The NOBLESSE VOIP allows you to set a Prefix Number, which will always be dialed out automatically before you enter the telephone
number you want to dial. This number will also be dialed when you call numbers from the phonebook memory, redial memory etc.
Example:
Prefix number - 1609
Telephone number - 0123456789
Prefix dialing sequence - 16090123456789
Important!
The base unit stays during 3 min. in registering-mode.
If registering the handset has not gone well, you could better start all over again.

How to proceed?
Press the key of the handset you do not wish to deregister. Press the key until “SETTING“ appears on the display.
Press the key and then the key until “REMOVE HS“ appears on the display. Press the key and enter the PIN-Code
(= ‘0000’ with delivery). Press the key and enter the handset number that you would like to delete. Press the key.
If deregistering was successful, you will hear a confirmation beep. If this is not the case, you will hear 3 short beeps that indicate
that you have entered a wrong digit.
Selecting manually
Press the key. Press the key until “SETTING“ appears on the display. Press the key and then the key until
“BASE SEL“ appears on the display. Press the key. Press the key until “MANUAL“ appears on the display. Press the
key. Enter the number of the required base unit. Press the key to confirm. “SEARCHING“ appears on the display.
If the base unit is found, you will hear a confirmation beep.
Selecting automatically
Press the key. Press the key until “SETTING“ appears on the display. Press the key and then the key until
“BASE SEL“ appears on the display. Press the key. Press the key until “AUTO“ appears on the display. Press the
key. “SEARCHING“ appears on the display. If the base unit is found, you will hear a confirmation beep.

The phone is in Standby-mode. Enter the number that you would like to store. Press and hold the key during 2
seconds. “NAME“ appears on the display. Enter the name that you would like to store. Press and hold the key during
2 seconds to confirm. [You will hear a confirmation beep.]
OR
Press and hold the key during 2 seconds. Use the and key to scroll through the complete phonebook
memory.

key to scroll through the Phonebook-memory. Press when the required number appears on the display.

The phone is in Standby-mode. Press and hold during 2 seconds and use the and key to scroll through the
Phonebook-memory. Press the key when the number that you would like to delete appears on the display. “DELETE?“
appears on the display. Press the key to confirm. [You will hear a confirmation beep.]

REVIEWING NUMBERS
Press . “CLIP” appears on the display. Press the key. The name and number of the last received call appear on the
display. Press the key to review the date and the time of the call. Press the key to go the previously stored call and
use the key to receive some extra information. This way you can review the complete Caller ID memory. Use the
key to exit the list.
DIRECT CALL

Please make sure that only 1 VOIP telephone program is in use. Please close all other VOIP telephone
programs in order to avoid technical difficulties between them.
RINGER MELODY

If you choose for volume-level ‘0’, the ringer tone will be switched off completely.

‘MUTE’-KEY
During a PC call, press the key to switch the microphone off. x appears on the display. [The person on the other end of the
line can not hear you, but you can hear the person on the other end of the line.] Press the key to switch the microphone back on.
PC-TIME
When you activate the PC-time setting, each call will be stored according to the date and time settings of your PC-clock.
Press the key. Press the key until “SETTING“ appears on the display. Press the key. Press the key
once again until “PC-TIME“ appears on the display. Press the key. Use the key to make your choice: “ON” or “OFF”.
Finally press the key to confirm your choice. [You will hear a confirmation beep.]
SKYPE™
Important!
This chapter only describes the operation of the NOBLESSE VOIP phone with use of SkypeTM.
Important!
• Make sure that you are using Skype™ version 1.2.8 or higher.
• Make sure that Skype™ is selected as VOIP telephone program in the NOBLESSE VOIP program.

Remark:
If your net-status is “Offline” or “Do not disturb” the handset will not ring with an incoming Skype™ call.
ALARMLIST
If you activate the “Alarmlist”, a notification will appear on your display when the net status of one of your contact persons
changes.
Press the key. Press the key until “SETTING” appears on the display. Press the key. Press the key
until “LIST ALERT“ appears on the display. Press the key. Use the key to make your choice: “ON” or “OFF”. Finally
press the key to confirm your choice. [You will hear a confirmation beep.]
Remark:
When you have a Skype™ subscription, the number of the caller will appear on the display during a
SkypeIn call.
MAKING A SKYPEOUT CALL
SkypeOut makes it possible to make cheap calls via the PC to fix and mobile numbers over the whole world.
Important!
• Before being able to use this service, you first have to buy some SkypeOut credits.
• When you want to dial a number using SkypeOut, you always have to enter “+” or “00”, followed by
the international country code, before the number that you want to call (f.e. 0032 for Belgium). This
also applies for national calls.
Enter the required telephone number. Press the key. Press the key once again to end the conversation.
Note:
With the NOBLESSE VOIP you can review the 5 last dialed numbers that were dialed with this phone via
Skype™. The last dialed SkypeOut numbers will also be saved here.

Press the key to end the first call. The handset starts to ring. Press the key to answer the Skype™ call.
OR
Press the key. Press the key until “SWITCH” appears on the display. Press the key. The PSTN call will be put
on hold and you will be connected with the Skype™ call. To switch back to the PSTN call, you repeat the different steps
described above. Press the corresponding keys to end both calls: for the Skype™ call, for the normal PSTN call.
Incoming PSTN call during Skype™ call
When a PSTN call comes in during a Skype™ call, the number and the name of the caller appear on the display (If Caller
ID is available).
Press the key to end the first call. The handset starts to ring. Press the key to answer the PSTN call.

REVIEWING NUMBERS
Press the key. Press the key until “PC-IN” appears on the display. Press the key. The Skype™ nickname
of the contact person that last called you, appears on the display. Press the key to view the date/time of the call and
the net status of the contact person. Use the key to scroll through the call list.
Note:
The symbol after “PC-IN” indicates that there is a new call that you have not seen yet. This symbol will
disappear as soon as you have seen all the new calls.
CALLING NUMBERS FORM THE CALL LIST
Press the key. Press the key until “PC-IN“ appears on the display. Press the key until the required call
appears on the display. Press the key.
SKYPE™ VOICEMAIL
Before you can use this service, you first have to subscribe to Skype™ Voicemail.

Note:
• By pressing the key for a few seconds in Standby-mode, you can access the voicemail menu
directly. “INBOX” appears on the display. Then you proceed with the same steps as described above.
• The upload of the voicemail messages from the PC to the NOBLESSE VOIP takes a short period. Please
wait until the upload is complete to access the “INBOX” menu. If the upload has not been completed
yet, “––“ will appear on the display and the handset will return to the “INBOX” menu.
• If you have not pressed the key to stop playing the message, the NOBLESSE VOIP will automatically
return to the “INBOX” menu when the voicemail message has been played completely.
• When you have listened to a voicemail message, the icon will disappear after the Skype™ nickname
of the person who left the message. The Skype™ nickname will remain in the list of received voicemail
messages. Go to the “INBOX” menu as described above and use the key to scroll through this list.
• If you use the icon on your PC to play the voicemail message, the Skype™ nickname of the person
who left the message appears on the display of your Noblesse VOIP. Press the key to listen to the
voicemail through your handset. Press the key once again to stop playing the message.
DELETING RECEIVED VOICEMAIL MESSAGES
If you don’t want to listen to a voicemail message, you can only delete this message using your PC.
Open Skype™. Go to “CALL LIST” and click on the voicemail icon. Select the voicemail message that you want
to remove. Click on the dustbin icon to delete the message. The icon disappears from the display of your
NOBLESSE VOIP.

Note:
• By pressing the key for a few seconds in Standby-mode, you can access the voicemail menu
directly. “INBOX” appears on the display. Press the key. “OUTBOX” appears on the display. Then you
proceed with the same steps as described above.
• While viewing the friendslist, you can enter the first letter of the name to search quickly.
• When you select a contact person on your PC and choose “Send Voicemail”, the Skype™ nickname of
this person appears on the display of your NOBLESSE VOIP. Press the key to record your voicemail
message. You will hear the greeting message of your contact person, followed by a “beep”, after
which you can enter your message. Press the key once again to end the recording and send the
message.
• If you have not subscribed to Skype™ Voicemail, you can also send voicemail messages, but only to
contact persons who have subscribed to the Skype™ Voicemail service. In this case, only the names of
these contact persons will appear in the “OUTBOX” menu.

• The connection between MSN® Messenger / Windows LiveTM Messenger and your NOBLESSE VOIP only
works if MSN® Messenger / Windows LiveTM Messenger is opened and minimalized in the application tray.
CALLING
Press the key to open the list with contact persons. Use the and key to scroll through the list of contact
persons. Press the key to call the required contact person.
SJ-PHONE / NET2PHONE
Important!
This chapter only describes the operation of the NOBLESSE VOIP phone with use of SJ-Phone and
Net2Phone.
Important!
Make sure that SJ-Phone or Net2Phone is selected as VOIP telephone program in the NOBLESSE VOIP
program.
CALLING
Enter the required telephone number. Press the key.
RECEIVING AND ENDING A CALL
With an incoming call “EXT” appears on the display of your NOBLESSE VOIP and the PC icon starts to flash.
Press the key to answer the call. Press the key once again to end the call.

• Make sure that VoipBuster is selected as VOIP telephone program in the NOBLESSE VOIP program.
ALARMLIST
