    Applications are invited for appointment to the post of 4 Junior Research Fellows initially for a period of two years. (extendable as per rules ) to work in the areas of Electronics / Physics (with specialization in Solid State Physics/Electronics Science/ Material Science) in this Laboratory
    Type-written application giving name, date of birth, correspondence address, educational qualifications, SC/ST/OBC, subject/discipline, percentage of marks, GATE/UGC/NET score etc. enclosing self-attested copies of all certificates/testimonials. A recent passport size photograph should be pasted on the right hand corner of first page of the application duly signed by the applicant. Application should reach Director, Solid State Physics Laboratory, Lucknow Road, Delhi-54 on or before 15 Feb 2013 alongwith Rs.10/- crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of Director SSPL (Candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC are exempted from this payment)Candidates working in Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies should apply through proper channel.     Number of Posts:-04(Four) likely to change Essential Qualifications: At least first class in M.Sc. Physics/M.Sc Electronics/M.Sc Material Science Desirable Qualifications : M.Tech. Solid State Materials/M.Phil (Physics). Those having qualified

    GATE/NET examination shall be preferred/one year Research experience. 4 Age: The upper age limit is 28 years and relaxable upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and 3 years in case of other Backward communities. The upper age limit is 28 yrs. on the date of Closing date of receipt of applications. 5. Stipend: JRF SRF 6. Rs.16,000/- p.m.(for I & II year) Rs.18,000/- p.m.(for III year) Rs.18,000/- p.m. (for the entire tenure)

    HRA & medical benefits are as admissible to DRDO employees. For this purpose the stipend amount

    will be taken as basic pay. 7. 8. Fellows will be entitled to only Casual leave. However, maternity leave is admissible to women fellows. CANDIDATES MUST BRING THEIR ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES AT THE TIME OF INTERVIEW IN THE

    The period of fellowship is purely based on performance as well as continuance of the

    The qualifications prescribed above are the minimum required for the posts. All the applicants

    with these qualifications may not be called for interview. If their number is large, a written test may be conducted in the above discipline. Shortlisted candidates on merit only be called for written test/interview and others may assume that they have not been shortlisted on merit.

    Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed sleeper class rail fare by the

    shortest route limited to sleeper class railway fare from the place to which interview letter is issued or the place where the journey is started whichever is less on production of tickets.
