    Dear Friends of the BJWC: The Bluegrass Junior Womens Club is excited to announce Hoops, Hops, & Hope, a St. Patricks Day celebration for a basketball town! Hoops, Hops, & Hope will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Barrel House in Lexington, Kentucky, in celebration of the international traditions of St. Patricks Day and Kentuckys traditions for March Madness, which showcases some of the most exciting match-ups in college athletics. As a leader in our community, the BJWC cordially invites you to both attend our event and participate as a sponsor. WHO WE ARE. The Bluegrass Junior Womans Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting disadvantaged women, children and families in central Kentucky. Our organization was federated in 1970 and consists of women over 18 years of age who are dedicated to helping their community. Through volunteerism and donations, we are able to serve our community by helping support organizations such as the Bluegrass Childrens Fund, the Ronald McDonald House, the Childrens Advocacy Center, the BJWC Santas Shoppers Program, the New Opportunity School for Women, area public schools, and many other community projects. HOOPS, HOPS, & HOPE FUNDRAISER. In what promises to be a very festive atmosphere, Hoops, Hops, & Hope will feature tournament games on multiple screens around the Barrel House, with a variety of game-related raffles and contests to increase the excitement. It will also feature a large silent auction, delicious heavy hors doeuvres, and complimentary beer and wine. Proceeds of the evening will benefit the BJWCs many philanthropic projects and the Bluegrass Domestic Violence Program.
