The BMH 2000 series feeds are intended for medium-sized and small drill rigs. Hole depth has been maximized in relation to overall length to facilitate multi-tasking in more confined spaces, e.g. drifting, roof-hole and cross-cut drilling. The BMH 2000 features strong aluminium beam with extremely high resistance against bending and torsional stresses. All surfaces exposed to wear are protected by stainless-steel guide sleeves and all sliding parts are easily replaceable.

Benefit
Rigid feed beams Sturdy, rotationg hose drum Accurate guidance of cradles
Reduced drill steel costs and straighter holes Guide and protects the hoses, and minimize wear Ensure maximum service life for shank adapter and drill steel, and straighter holes Robust feed-dowel design Good rock contact for stable collaring and straighter holes Wear pieces on all sliding surfaces Protects major components and reduces maintenance costs Improved hose suspension Less hose wear and easier hose replacement High feed force Faster drilling and lower drill-steel costs Hole depth maximized in relation to Tasks such as cross-cut and bolt hole drilling can be overall length of feed beam performed in more confined spaces
Adjustment of the traction wire rope tension is effected by turning a bolt located in the end piece of the feed beam. Easily adjustable and well protected wire-rope tensioning device. The traction wire rope is attached to the rail by means of a pin bolt, that can be located in any one of ten holes in the rail. Hydraulic feed cylinder gives stable, easily adjustable feed force. Feed beam of extruded aluminium is more resistant to bending and torsional stresses than steel.
Robust feed dowel for good rock contact and stable collaring.
Easily, replaceable guide-sleeves maximize the service life of the feed beam
The feed beam is made of an aluminium alloy which, in spite of its low weight, is very rigid and resistant to torsional and bending forces. This permits the use of heavier rock drills and greater feed force. The wear caused by the cradles is absorbed by easily replaceable, stainless-steel guide-sleeves. The service life of the feed is thus increased significantly, which results in lower operating costs. The sliding surfaces of the cradles are made of a special polymer that causes considerably less wear than aluminium to steel or steel to steel.
Function
Feed force is provided by a hydraulic cylinder and transmitted to either end of the rock-drill cradle via two wire ropes and two jockey wheels. The system works as a distance and velocity magnifier, with the result that the cradle travels at twice the velocity of the feed cylinder and moves double the distance. The hose drum is fixed to the rear end of the cylinder, the intermediate drill-steel support to the front end of the cylinder. The intermediate drill-steel support is always located exactly half way between the rock drill and the front drill-steel support. This gives very good guidance to the drill steel and results in straighter holes and lower drill-steel costs. The hose management system keeps the hoses in good order, thus minimizing wear and reducing costs.
