The Company Compact Water Package Treatment Plants are designed to supply high quality and safe water for small and
medium communities.
The Company compact and modular concept ensures to meet water quality requirements and potable water production.
(According to the water specifications).
The Company Compact Water Package Treatment Plant is completely factory built and delivered in steel shell package
(containers), convenient for transportation and requiring minimal on–site assembly and installation work. This prefabricated
construction and ODIS manufacturing capacity offer a speedy delivery and installation of plants with different capacities
and lot of varieties for flocculation, filtration and disinfections.
The Company package plant is based on standard and customized improved design criteria. Cost saving technology,
simplicity and reliability of performances are its main characteristics.
The Company integrates conventional physico-chemical treatment of the raw water by coagulation-flocculation, solids
removal by settling, filtration and disinfecting.
The Company is able to treat water with a variable and broad range of suspended solids and turbidity. Technological
advances are utilized both in clarifier and filtration units and low detention times and high efficiencies are obtained.
The Company produces safe, quality water having an effluent quality assurance that meets international and local drinking
water standards.
The Company Compact Water Package Treatment Plants are fully automatic and all operating modes controlled by
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
Compact Water Treatment Plants
The Company series is produced by factory in respect with the rules of ISO. The plants are based on chemical treatment,
settling, filtration and disinfections. The systems are delivered in steel shell package (containers) and are ready for on-site
installation.
The installation required:
The plants ensure a reliable approach for standard processes and customized needs. The typical flow configuration
consists of coarse solids separation, chemical addition, prior to clarification, enhanced clarification in DECA
(developed in Israel) and fines filtration of the water in deep bed multi media filters. The filtered water is disinfected
using Hypochlorite solution. Provision for the feed of special chemical may be ordered.
Raw water:
Source water – surface water approved by local rules for drinking water.
Raw water quality - water with high turbidity from surface sources like rivers, lakes etc., free from heavy metals or
toxic substances.
Turbidity - less than 1 NTU (in compliance with WHO drinking water standards). Residual chlorine
concentration - 0.2 PPM.
Installation – The treatment plants are packed in steel shell containers, which allow convenient transportation,
simple on-site installation, and mobility.
• Coagulation: Coagulant is injected ahead of the cyclonic separator in order to destabilize the colloidal particles in
suspension and to bring about agglomeration.
• Clarification (Coagulation and Settling): takes place in the DECA Clarifier. The purpose of the DECA clarifier is to
separate the heavy loads of suspended solids and colloidal matter from the raw water. In this unit the sludge is
separated from the clarified water in a settling zone then recycled to a mixing zone. Coagulation is injected to bring
about bridging between the particles and to further improve the separation. The effluent from the DECA Clarifier is
pumped through a booster pump to the filtration stage.
• Multimedia Depth Filtration: performed by an array of multimedia filters with high depth media bed for final effluent
polish at relatively low filtration rate. Effluent water quality less than 1 NTU.
• Disinfection: injects Hypochlorite to remove all pathogenic microorganisms from the treated water. The disinfecting
unit is fully automatic and controlled by residual chlorine controller.
• Automation and Control: the systems are equipped with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), which supervises the
entire automatic functioning of the separation and filtration process. The systems backwash automatically by OP or when
a preset time interval elapses.
Main Elements of the System
Self-Cleaning Suction Strainer (optional)
The Company self-cleaning suction strainer is designed to protect the
pump clogging by debris, trash and solids dirt. It is connected to the
pump inlet and submerged in the water source (river, lake, reservoir
etc.).
All the pumped water flows through the strainer and the debris are stopped on the screen,
protecting the pump from clogging or getting damages by the debris resulting in increased pump
efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.
The screen is kept clean by the continuously rotating jets (using pump pressure through the return
line) blowing away the debris from the screen.
Hydro cyclone Separator
- Settling chamber, where a separation between sludge and the effluent water is achieved.
The water to be treated, mixed with flocculent, enter the DECA Clarifier through a venturi type on-
line flocculator placed in the bottom of internal (reaction) chamber. The up-stream flow of
flocculated particles over close to the top to the intermediate cylinder chamber. This way the liquid
is forced to flow downward precipitating heavier particles. The sludge deposited in the settling
chamber returns to the reaction chamber by induced flow. The resulting sludge “enrichment” allows
rapid flocculation and formation of the dense precipitate. The conical floor of the unit help the
sludge slide toward the ejector for re-circulation. Concentrated sludge is collected at the bottom
hopper and periodically released to drain. The effluent flows over the truncated conical collector into
the intermediate tank for further treatment. The “DECA” Clarifier has no moving parts.
Multi Media Filters
The Company Multi media filters use combination of media layers as
gravel, sand and anthracite as a bed that captures the suspended
matter in the water flowing through. Multi media filters (DW series
with total media height 1000 mm) use a unique design of a double
bottom chamber divided by a welded reinforced steel plate. The upper
chamber contains the multi media and the lower chamber is empty
and collects the filtered water. The plate is covered by “mushroom”
diffusers, which are plastic, slotted conical units. The disperse of
water uniformly, using effectively the whole media volume avoiding
the occurrence of channeling caking when operated correctly. The
filter particularly suitable for back flushing – a process involving
reversal of the water flow, causing a turbulent expansion of the media
as a fluidized bed. The flushes out the entrapped debris effectively.
After the back flushing is completed, the filter resumes its normal
filtering mode as clean as a new filter. The back flush process activated
automatically by controller or manually according to manufacturer
instructions.
Chemical Treatment
The water treatment plant integrates three types of chemical treatment:
• Coagulant: Alum (a coagulant) is injected into the raw water in order to destabilize the colloidal matter and
into flock.
• Flocculent (optional): Anionic polymer is injected into the mixing zone of the clarifier/flocculator to create
the bridging mechanism and to further improve the separation of suspended solids.
• Disinfection: Chlorine (a disinfectant) is injected at the end of the process in order to kill harmful
pathogenic microorganisms and supply disinfected drinking water.
Diesel Generator
The Company system includes Diesel Generator as a backup system in cases
of electricity failure (in this case the Diesel system will start working automatically)
or in cases of no available electricity power on site.
The Diesel Generator system includes a fuel tank that is stored inside an attached shade
to prevent any damage to the system.
Capacity: 50 KVA
Motor: Diesel
Automation and Control

Connecting Accessories
The water treatment plant elements are connected with
manifolds and couplers, which are shot blast cleaned,
phosphatized and lined with extremely corrosion proof
polyester electrostatic spay. The connecting accessories
employed by ODIS produce user-friendly system which
requires minimal maintenance, are easily disassembled /
reassembled and are designed for long lasting operating
life.
The manifolds, couplers and connection elements conform to ASA, British Standard or ISO or other equivalent
Standard approved by client.
The manifolds are made of plated carbon steel and have a 100-micron protective coating of extra durable
polyester applied electro-statically and oven cured on a zinc-phosphate layer for maximal anti-corrosion
protection.
The internal and external coating of manifolds and accessories is suitable for withstanding the effects of local
climatic conditions, the quality of the water and other corrosive factors.
Structure Materials
The water treatment plant filters and separators are manufactured from robust first use
