    CLASS[A] STANDBYOR INFREQUENT SERVICE

    Thisserviceclasscoverscraneswhichmay beusedininstallationssuchas powerhouses,publicutilities,turbine rooms,motorroomsandtransformer stationswhereprecisehandlingof equipmentatslowspeedswithlong,idle periodsbetweenliftsarerequired.Capacity loadsmaybehandledforinitialinstallation ofequipmentandforinfrequent maintenance.

    Thisservicecoverscraneswhichmaybeusedin heavymachineshops,foundries,fabricating plants,steelwarehouses,containeryards,lumber mills,etc.,andstandarddutybucketandmagnet operationswhereheavydutyproductionis required.Inthistypeofservice,loadsapproaching 50percentoftheratedcapacitywillbehandled constantlyduringtheworkingperiod.Highspeeds aredesirableforthistypeofservicewith10to20 liftsperhouraveraging15feet,notover65 percentoftheliftsatratedcapacity.
