a wide variety of data has caused a dramatic rise in the volume of information, and subsequently its significance in the daily lives of people around the world.
Equally important is the method used to present the information. It must be made available to as many people as possible, and in a very clear, easy-to-see manner. To make sure your monitors are up to the task, NECs COSMOPLASMA a lineup of highly advanced, innovatively designed color PDP modules is the answer.
The lineup features modules that deliver stunningly crisp, clear images, as well as a module that offers super-high luminance and a wide viewing angle, making it the clear choice for public display of information. Whats more, our PDP modules are incredibly thin and light, giving users a great deal of freedom in setting up their monitors.

s Distortion-free images In the PDP, RGB cells are spaced evenly on a flat surface, as opposed to the curvature of a CRT. This enables images virtually free of distortion, even around the edges of the display.
PDP Structure
NECs color PDP has an AC-type structure. The PDP is composed basically of two sheets of glass set a few hundred microns apart. Between the glass substrates, there are pixels containing cells which are filled with rare gases (Xenon, Neon, etc.). The cells are each coated on the bottom with a different color of phosphor red (R), green (G) or blue (B). Thin electrodes can be found at the top and bottom of the glass substrates.

NECs PDPs provide you with a great deal of freedom in designing monitors. And users can benefit from the multitude of applications, which not only make everyday life more convenient, but bring greater quantities of information to more people than ever and do it in style.

NECs COSMOPLASMA color PDP modules represent a quantum leap in display technology, incorporating technologies which raise image quality to new highs, while also effecting a significant increase in luminance and improvement in color presentation. Furthermore, our modules are conceived with design in mind. Their slim profiles and full-featured interfaces enable simple installation in TVs and monitors. Capsulated Color Filter CCF NEC PDPs incorporate CCF for excellent color reproduction and sharpest contrast possible
Red, green and blue filters are capsulated within the glass substrate. This brings a dramatic improvement in color presentation over previous PDPs, and enables realistic images rivaling those of CRTs. CCF effectively blocks the orange color that is produced by the neon gas discharge. This technology also prevents a loss in contrast that can be caused by the reflection of external light back at the surface of the display. Strong, sharp contrast is maintained throughout the image on the display. To ensure that the contrast remains high even in brightly lit environments, NEC PDPs incorporate black stripes which are laid over the ribs which separate the cells. These stripes absorb any external light that may be reflected back, resulting in evenly dark images with sufficient depth, and improved presentation of the deepest shades of black.

Advanced PLE (Peak Luminance Enhancement) Control Revolutionary design brings higher luminance and sharper contrast
New circuit enables smoother luminance control Thanks to new technology employed in NECs PDP modules, the PLE control, which enables you to achieve the optimum balance between luminance, contrast and power consumption, also offers an increase from 32 to 256 steps. This means that while enhancing the degree of luminance, sudden changes in image luminance will not be noticeable as the increase in steps allows for much smoother gradation.

Significant improvement in luminance and contrast (compared to our conventional control circuit) The duration of priming (reset), address (writing of data) and sustain (display) periods that occur during one field depends upon each individual image. These improvements result in a 20% improvement in luminance and contrast, as well as improved presentation of the deepest shades of black.

Power Supply, Inc. Enjoy greatly reduced time and cost in PDP monitor development
One of the most expensive and timeconsuming elements of plasma display monitor design and manufacture is the development of high-voltage power supplies. To save you this trouble, NEC is currently developing 42 PDP modules with power supplies built in. The unit supplies power to the PDP module and 380Vdc for the signal processing and interface circuit. You would only be required to develop signal processing and interface circuits, along with corresponding power supplies. In addition to the power supplys Standard model
All power supplies must be prepared by customer
equipped 42 modules, we are also currently developing 50 PDP modules with built-in power supplies.

The Gerbera belongs to the aster, daisy or composite family of the flowering plant order Asterales, which includes about 930 genera and 15,000 to 20,000 species of herbs, shrubs and trees distributed throughout the world. The Gerbera, just as other members of the family, has a flower head composed of many small flowers, called florets, which are surrounded by leaflike structures known as bracts.
