BIRD APPLIQU Body (make 1 each with A and D) Ch 6. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, turn 5 sc. Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn 8 sc. Rows 3-5: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc across to last sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn 14 sc. Row 6: Ch 1, sc in each sc across to last sc, 2 sc in last sc, ch 1 turn 15 sc. Row 7: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc across, turn 16 sc. Rows 8- 9: Repeat rows 6-7 18 sc at end of last row. Row 10: Ch 1, sc2tog in first 2 sc, sc in each sc across, turn 17 sc. Shape tail by sewing in center of tail down 3 rounds and pulling tightly. Sew in place on body as pictured. Beak (make 1 each with B and E) Ch 4. Row 1: Slip st in 2nd ch from hook, sc next ch, hdc last ch, turn. Row 2: Ch 1, hdc in first hdc, sc in next sc, slip st in next slip st, turn.
