Introduction
Subject of the document
The most important installation and configuration sequences involved in creating a PCS 7 project, together with appropriate parameter settings, are provided here in checklist format, so they can be checked and recorded easily. In terms of both content and structure, this checklist relates to the "PCS 7 Compendium Part A Configuration Guidelines" Manual, but also makes reference to other SIMATIC system manuals and other sources.
NOTE
The checklist represents a model which can be adapted to the individual requirements. She does not lay any claim to completeness.

Requirement All engineering work must be performed on the ES (or multiple engineering stations) before the OS projects are downloaded to the OS computers.
Note/Reference No engineering work must be carried out on the OS servers or OS clients, with the exception of the following: Activation of time synchronization for the servers, if the ES does not have access to a CP 1613 Checking/verifying the redundancy setting on OS server pairs The OS project can be called in simulation mode using the "Start OS Simulation" option. In cases such as this, the OS project is duplicated on the ES and the copy is activated. Online access requires a connection to be available between the ES and the OS in NetPro. All users of the project use the same blocks and process tag types. Only one (redundant) time server is available in the system and all stations (PCs and CPUs) use this time server as the master.
