    Quote Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Response I must say that I am in full agreement with MLK here. When he was fighting the injustice of racism, many before him tried with violence or in the case of this quote, darkness. Yet, darkness and hate cannot cancel out themselves, but have to be fought with something stronger and infinitely more powerful: light and love. Today, this might seem like an obvious statement, yet there is still fighting to end war and evil to end evil. Quote I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. Response To be completely honest, I still have this dream. Where any child can and will not be judged by anything but the content of their character. Not just in the case of different skin colors, but ancestry, financial status or intelligence. A time where these outward things do not matter, but what is seen is the heart. I think that no matter how hard we try we will always base our judgment of people upon personal experiences with people of that genre. After 9/11, a lot of Americans will be more careful around Arabs. Caucasians will be more easily acceptable as trustworthy than blacks. Quote The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. Response
