    Family Math Night February 11 6:00-7:30 p.m.


    Come out for a night of math fun!! We will meet in the mini theater at 6:00 p.m. for a short presentation, followed by a trip to your childs classroom for hands-on math and practical ways to connect our classroom to your home and family! Dont forget to bring your favorite technology device such as iPad, Kindle, iPhone, tablet or whatever you might have! Hope to see you there!

    Introducing The Academy of Environmental Sciences at DFES

    Dutch Fork Elementary will hold an Open House on Thursday, February 13 from 6:00-7:30. Please join us to hear about the exciting opportunities that will be offered here at DFES next year. You will be introduced to the components of the program that will be offered at The Academy of Environmental Sciences at DFES. Come get a first hand experience of how your child will be engaged next year!

    Heres the scoop from PTO!


    Our PTO has a variety of events coming up this semester, and volunteers are still needed! We had an unexpected glitch with our server, so our email system was not receiving emails; it has now been fixed! If you contacted us but received a returned email, please try again!     B-I-N-G-O Night
    Set for March 21, 2014
    We are now accepting donations for our annual Bingo Night scheduled for March 21, and we love to support Dutch Fork Elementary business owners! If you own or manage a business and would like to donate a gift card, service, or merchandise, we would love to include it as a part of our raffle or silent auction! All donations are 100% tax deductible. If you are interested in making a donation or have any questions, please email Diane Starnes at [email protected]. And dont forget to mark your calendars for this annual family fun night at DFES!

    Marcos Pizza Spirit Day


    Marcos Pizza, located on Lake Murray Blvd. next to Dunkin Donuts, is sponsoring a Dutch Fork Elementary Spirit Day on Tuesday, February 25! Order Pizza from Marcos (pick up or delivery) any time during the day and a percentage of the profits will be donated to DFES! Mark your calendars and plan a family pizza night!

    District Five Dance Marathon


    The District Five Dance Marathon will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Spring Hill High School. All District Five employees, students and parents are invited to participate. All proceeds will go to support The cost to participate is $5.00 and each D5 school will have a team. Participant cost including a D5DM t-shirt is $10.00. Register at www.helpmakemiracles.org/event/D5DM Individuals who cannot participate, but who would like to make a contribution can register at the above link as a spirit participant. Dance Marathon Times: Elementary Students 1:00 3:00 p.m. Middle School Students 3:30 5:30 p.m. High School Students 6:00 8:00 p.m.

    Students at DFES are excited about keyboarding and need more practice at home. A free online typing program is available at

    Set up a free account for your child to practice their typing skills on a regular basis. We all know the more you practice the better you will perform!!
