ESTABLISHMENT OF COOPERATIVE

Starting a cooperative is a complex one thus being feasible should be one of the factors that matters organizers in establishing the cooperative. To easily make the cooperative more feasible the following should be noted and surveyed:

Willingness. There must be an ultimate reason for organizing a cooperative. If the people feel that the cooperative will serve as a solution to their problem, then there must be willingness to their selves to be one of the members, and this will make formation and organization of the cooperative easier. Survey results should reveal how potential members identify the economic need and the degree of interest in a cooperative to fulfil that need. Investment of each member. Investing is one of the basics responsibilities of the member. Investing is a risk by which they will realise that they have financial stake to protect in the cooperative. The investments will serve as starting expense for projected facilities, daily volume activities and even cash flow requirements

Projected Volume of Business. The best source for these projections comes from the potential member survey conducted as a part of the feasibility study. It is important to accurately characterize how production or purchasing and sales occur to determine the appropriate facility and equipment needs. Considering the the projected volume of business will be helpful for the payment of fixed and variable expenses like rentals and salaries of the employees.

Availability of qualified officers. Responsibility for starting a cooperative and seeing the project through rests mostly with the leadership group. The success of the cooperative depends more on the manager than any other individual. The manager directs the day-to-day operations. Thus, having good leaders and officers will lead the cooperative to its mission and vision.

Adequacy of facilities. Starting up a cooperative requires sufficient facilities, if the cooperative has enough of these tools and equipment, the group can be easily beginning the business and there no need for the group to buy new ones. With making the hyacinth bags, the cooperative

does not need of high equipment because a hand-to-hand process of creating the bags is needed.

Opportunities for growth. Once a cooperative has the eagerness to grow, every member should possess the critical thinking factor to avoid all the possible pitfalls.
