Business Challenges
The client experienced explosive growth in the last five years resulting in fragmented, non-homogeneous Financial, Staffing, and Sales functions. The company was being managed by using manual processes without any semblance of business processes and standards. The integration between the financial systems (Quick Books) was non-existent. It was extremely difficult to provide visibility into the operations of the company, both from management and financial perspective. The major implementation challenges were Aggressive timeline of 10 weeks for implementing entire suite of Financial Accounting applications, staffing constraints, absence of any documentation and tight budget. Provide economical, flexible and effective resource pool to level staff based on project demands. Cancellation of Go Live for production and maintain a parallel instance till Go Live dates were finalized. Maintaining a parallel system in OEBS with Live Instance for audit periods. Migration of parallel system in Live System. Integration of new system in existing Oracle Apps environment. Setups for cross currencies. Oracle Applications R12 was selected to implement a scalable, integrated ERP and self-service solution to replace the existing Quick Books system. A two-phased approach was adapted to implement Oracle Applications project, referred to as SPOC (Single Point of Contact). The applications, interfaces and data conversion activities that were completed as part of Phase I were Financials - General Ledger. - Accounts Receivable. - Accounts Payable. - Fixed Asset. Interfaces - Oracle Receivables Open Transaction Imports. - Centralization of Customers. Data Conversions - General Ledger Balances. - Open Accounts Receivables Invoices. - Open Accounts Receivables Receipts. - Open Accounts Payables Invoices. - Fixed Assets.
