B Objectives
1. Summary of the main learning outcomes for students enrolled in the course.
A) To get the accurate definition of literary criticism.
B) Ss fully grasp the background of literary criticism and its different eras(from Greeks till
the 19
th
century) .
C) Ss become able to understand the theoretical principles of prominent critics taught.
2. Briefly describe any plans for developing and improving the course that are being
implemented. (eg increased use of IT or web based reference material, changes in content as a
result of new research in the field)
Asking Ss to look up certain basic terms to discuss in class, using the library and
the web, to develop their reliance on themselves and make them active
participants in the learning process
Conducting an oral quiz after each section taught to check understanding and
have an accumulative assessment of Ss level
Giving a questionnaire at the end of the semester to get Ss feedback on the course
