Kaimi2008: Beyond The Lowcarb Realm - THE PLAYGROUND Hummer?

The document is a discussion thread from an online low carb forum about a user's question regarding purchasing a Hummer vehicle. Several responses criticized the Hummer or the question itself rather than answering it. The original poster felt the negative comments were rude rather than just opinions. Others in the thread debated whether the responses crossed a line or were simply stating differing views. The discussion continued with some users sharing their own experiences with large vehicles.

Some very catty responses to this thread. I feel bad for the OP.

I've grown accustomed to the petulant behavior on here, so don't feel too bad for me. :p Most didn't
even answer my question and chose instead to behave like envious children. But thanks to those who
did answer the question instead of attacking me.

I think their responses fall under "rude and unacceptable", particularly since they seemed more like
personal attacks and didn't even begin to answer my question.

Hopefully the moderators address it because I think it clearly violates terms of service.

Yes...you didn't ask what people thought of them. So I'm not sure why people felt the need to share
negative comments.

That's the way this PG has always responded. You can't post in public and not get opinions!

I guess that's true. I just felt bad that someone wanted to share their excitement for
something...only to have others bring her down.

I really didn't see any expressions of envy, just expressing that they didn't share the same desires
:dunno:

It's not personal. I post about my Mini Cooper here and I get stuff like "death trap" "I couldn't
imagine something so small" etc.

Ya just got to shrug it off that others may have a different opinion.

Personal attacks?

I think people were attacking the Hummer.......and The Hummer doesn't mind :p

There's a difference between opinions and rudeness. Some were opinions (which is fine), some were
flippant comments intended to incite a flame war (which is not fine). Those who did it know who they
are, so no need to point it out. I apparently wasn't the only one who noticed it.

I'm not a hummer fan but if I could afford it I would love myself an escalade!

We test drove one a few years back

Michael loved it. He said it reminded him of Bosnia.
I needed a ladder to get into it

Test drive one and see how it feels! I bet you could even rent one for the weekend and really get a
feel
