Known as the land of pearls, Hyderabad - the capital city of Andhra Pradesh has emerged
as the hub of IT/ITES, Biotech, Pharma and Tourism sectors. Its strategic location,
multilingual and cosmopolitan culture with investment-friendly economic policies makes
it an ideal destination for corporates, entrepreneurs, academicians and homemakers
alike. With increasing industrial development and IT service sectors, the city is on the
verge of tremendous growth in population and traffic. The government has decided to
meet this superlative growth with a well-planned public transportation infrastructure
through HYDERABAD METRO RAIL PROJECT.

L&T in Metro
The prestigious task of developing this project of national importance has been
awarded to Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) - the USD 9.8 billion engineering, technology,
construction and manufacturing organization. L&T has an impressive track record of
executing major metro projects in the country. This involved construction of elevated
and underground metro rail corridors, monorails, composite railway construction works
including station buildings and associated systems in this sector.

HYDERABAD METRO

Efficient, Safe & Reliable Public Transport System


This public-private partnership project will be implemented through a special purpose
vehicle (SPV) L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited. To be completed in a span of five years
from the Appointed date, this project will be executed on a design, build, finance, operate
and transfer (DBFOT) basis. The concession period for the project is 35 years, with an
entitlement of further 25 years.

Metro Network
Consisting of three high density corridors, Hyderabad Metro network will cover a total
distance of 71.16 km involving 66 ultra-modern station buildings with state-of-the-art
depots and complete infrastructure.

Corridor - I Miyapur - LB Nagar (28.87 km - 27 stations)

Corridor - II JBS Falaknuma (14.78 km - 16 stations)

Corridor - III Nagole Shilparamam (27.51 km - 23 stations)

Financial Closure
L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited, the SPV incorporated to implement Hyderabad
Metro Project has achieved financial closure for the Project. The financial closure has been
achieved in a record time of 6 months and is the largest fund tie up in India for a nonpower infrastructure PPP project.

an infrastructure development arm of L&T, has
been developing major infrastructure projects
on public private partnership mode with the
Central and State Governments in India. L&T IDPL
has 50 successful projects across many sectors
to its credit. Projects developed and targeted by
L&T IDPL include metrorail, railways, highways
and expressways, bridges, seaports/terminals,
airports, urban infrastructure, rope ways, water
supply projects, sanitary engineering projects, bulk
material handling projects, power transmission
utilities, gas/oil pipelines, hydel power, and nonconventional energy projects. Hyderabad Metro is
one of the largest developmental projects and this
complex project with comprehensive engineering
services will be executed by L&T Metro Rail
