The tracks consist of steel running surface.
Neihu Line will be fully compatible with the
existing VAL system of Mucha Line, using
rubber tired driverless AGT technology with a
minimum headways of 72 seconds.
SYSTRAs Role
SYSTRA has already been deeply involved in
the Mucha Line at the beginning of 1990s. At
the time, SYSTRA carried out the coordination
between E&M systems and civil works and
ensured the training of operation and maintenance staff of the line.
Within the frame of Neihu Line, SYSTRA has
taken the role of Special Design Consultant
for the local designers, which are: China Engineering Consultants Inc. (CECI), Resources
Engineering Services Inc. (RESI), Moh and
Associates (MAA), of the Department of Rapid
Transit System (DORTS) of Taipei Municipal
Government. SYSTRA performed the following services:

One of the key issues of this project is to minimize the mass of the structures, for a better
insertion of the line in the dense urban area
