Amity Institute of Wildlife Science
started Young Ecologists Talk and
Interact (YETI) Conference at University Campus, Sector-125, Noida
Campus. The three day Conference
is being attended by over 400 students and researchers of Ecology,
Evolution, Behavior and Conservation who are presenting and discussing their research work, exchanging ideas and have been trying to explore collaborations
with contemporaries. Dr Suhel Quader- Senior Scientist, Nature Conservation Foundation and
Dr N P.S Chauhan- Director, Amity Institute of Wildlife Science inaugurated the Conference.
The inauguration was followed by Technical Session on Prerna Singh Bindra- Wild-life Enthusiast on Saving Wild India: A Historical Perspective and the Challenge ahead wherein
she highlighted the issues related to Conservation v/s Development and stressed that one
should not be perused at the cost of other. Dwelling on the surging infrastructure which is affecting wildlife and forests, Bindra said that Indias road network is second biggest in the world.
