Why is it important for systems analysts to understand strategic plan?

Strategic planning influences day-to-day business becuse it can be

used to trackpreformance of the business, increase productivity, and
eventually increasesales. When the the stratategic planning is poorly
done, it can take a tollaccross multiple faces of the business. It can
negatively affect things likemorale, customer satisification, and create
more pressure to preform in theeconomy. The systems analyst should
understand a company's strategic planinorder to follow a plan to
improve the company.
2.) What is a SWOT analysis? Prepare a SWOT analysis of your school or

your employer
- A SWOT analysis (alternatively SWOT matrix) is a structured planning method used to
evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats involved in a project or in
a business venture. A SWOT analysis can be carried out for a product, place, industry or
person. It involves specifying the objective of the business venture or project and identifying
the internal and external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to achieve that objective.

3.) What is an effective way to assess user requests for additional features
and functions?
- User feedback is the most effective way to assess user requests for additional
features, and functions. End user customer surveys can be done through a
customer relationship management system, or database management

system. These are very important because they hold vital information
regarding user feedback; hence allows management to understand vital
information regarding users.
4.) What are four types of feasibility? Which type focuses on total cost of
ownership? Which type is influenced primarily by users?
- The four types of feasibility studies include; the operational feasibility study
that is mainly concerned with the urgency of an issue and the acceptability of
any solution. Technical feasibility study explores the technical aspect of a
business activity, and if the Hejazi 6 project feasibility is within the limits of
the existing technology, and if the technology exists and whether it is
available within a particular resource constraint. Schedule feasibility is used
by the analyst to determine if the deadline set is reasonable and whether the
constraints placed in the project schedule can be reasonably achieved.
Finally, economic feasibility is used to determine and weigh the costs and
benefits of a given project. Operational feasibility affects end users because it
demonstrates how a system will be developed and used by the end users

Step 1: Understanding what the company needs and what factors that will
affect it
Step 2: Determining the project scope means defining the specific
boundaries, or extent of the project.
Step 3: The objective of fact-finding is to gather data about project usability,
costs, benefits, and schedules.
Step 4: Evaluating the project usability, costs, benefits and time constraints
Step 5: Evaluate Feasibility
Step 6: Present Results and Recommendations to Management

mandatory, external, future constraint. Also provide an example of a
discretionary, internal, present constraint.
