Jesus Time: God’s People Enter the Promised Land


God used visual reminders to show the Children of Israel what He had done for them.
God wants us to remember what He has done for us and to praise Him for His good
works.

God shows Israel that He is all powerful and can win against their enemies. God wants
us to know that He is with us even when our enemies may be doubts about keeping our
job, doubts about getting a job, doubts about secure relationships, doubts about

Monday: Measure
Measure one cup of your favorite snack. Place it in a Ziploc bag and bring it to school Tuesday.
Measure rice and water for making dinner.
Or
Measure some of the ingredients to make cookies.
Boiled Chocolate-Oatmeal Cookies
2 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter or margarine
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup peanut butter (any kind)

1. Bring to a boil sugar, cocoa, milk and butter. Cook 1 minute.


2. Remove from heat and quickly add oats, peanut butter, and vanilla.
3. Drop by teaspoonful on waxed paper. Let stand 1/2 hour until cool (if you can).

Tuesday: Count 1-20.


Cut apart a calendar and put it together up to 20.

Monday: Review the sight words look, see, but, is, can, my, an, at, am, big, is, a, like, in, the, I, we.
Tuesday: Read a story from a previous week.
Wednesday: Read a story from a previous week. Look for the word peanut in the ingredients section
of different packages. Bring one of those packages (leave the contents at home if desired) to school on
Thursday.

Thursday or Friday: Play a game. Work on a craft project together. Talk about special family
moments.
