Captain Nobody written by Dean Pitchford is
about Newton Newman a.k.a Newt a 10 year
old boy who lives in the shadow of his famous
brother,Chris. Often neglected, his friends Cecil
and JJ are always his constant companion. There
are many interesting events in this novel. One of
it is, when Captain Nobody @ Newt tries to
save Reggie Ratner from the Appleton
water tower.
Newt finds out about Reggie Ratner from the
news on the television at school. He claims that
he knows the truth about the Big Tackle
incident.
He goes up the tower and manages to talk
about the Big Game and other series of events
with Reggie. The truth is, Reggie Ratner wants
to vandalise the water tank. Unfortunately his
left foot is stuck and he needs someone to untie
his shoelace.
In the end, both of them lose their balance and
fall down.
Luckily there is an inflated rubber mattress on
the ground.
