BMTH 1003 - FINANCIAL MATHEMATICS - 15634 - Hernando Burgos Soto - Fall 2015
This was one of my more difficult courses, however Professor Hernando made it a little more easier. Any concepts I
had trouble with he was able to sit down and help me through it not only during class hours but also after class hours.
His material is very thought out and he takes the time to teach the material and make students to understand it.
One of the most helpful professors i have this semester, his teaching methods are really effective and he provides
everything you need to know to make your understanding better
Provided very helpful handouts. Would prefer if you posted the powerpoints you used to teach the lesson onto
blackboard so students can look back at it as review or reference.
Hernando is a great math professor. I felt as though he taught the concepts very well which helped me understand
properly. This is evident through the fact that I did not do well in this math unit in highschool, but since the first day of
class he was able to clearly the teach us the concepts. I had a great experience in this math class and I do recommend
him to future students taking his courses.
He's one of the best math teachers I've had. He explains concepts and problems the easiest way to understand them
and he teaches us the easiest way to get an answer, without skipping any steps, instead of a complicated way. He
always answered any questions I had about the content whether it was before class, or even though email. He was
always very fast at replying to emails. He also encourages us to engage in his math classes by asking us questions
and asking us to calculate the problems ourselves. This gave us a chance to practice independently, but also have him
in front of us so we can ask questions. He's a great teacher.
