The Cumberland
County Summer Reading
Participants recently
cruised down the
Maurice River with
Captain Dave and First
Mate Tom. The participants who reached their
goals got to attend this
special reward trip.
Front row, from left: Brandon Burt, Ayrionna Burt, Chelsie Burt, Nate Bond, and Joanna
Bond. Back row: Ashley Orsino, Terry Burt, Zhi Watts, Hope Campbell, Ashley Campbell,
Colleen Bond, and Erin Bond. First Mate Tom and Captain Dave are in the far back.
The Boys & Girls Club of Vineland teen members enjoyed a wonderful day of
kayaking on the Maurice River below Union Lake dam in Millville, NJ. Not only
was this a great recreational field trip for the youth members but it also illustrated
for them the beauty that surrounds us in Cumberland County. The trip was made
possible through the support of Steve Eisenhauer of the Natural Lands Trust.

ELWYN
Continued from cover
lawn where was held in past years).
Macleod Carre, board member and cochair of the event, stated, The Art of Two
Palettes is the signature event of Elwyn
New Jersey and, among the things we
hope to do with the proceeds, is to purchase another much-needed handicap
accessible van transporting the participants in the day programs run by this
organization.
Robert Odorizzi, also co-chairing this
years event, added, This is a wonderful
social event and networking opportunity
for the community to come out and support Elwyn New Jersey, which has been
helping individuals with disabilities since
1898.
Sue Sauro, the organizations
Development Associate, appreciates that
support. The Art of Two Palettes event
would not be possible without the support
of the Elwyn family, members of the community, business sponsors, and the time
and talent of some of the finest chefs in
the region.
